Castaway Island Fiji

Amazing family holiday - I don’t see us ever staying anywhere else in Fiji. The staff say from when they meet you on the boat that you are now family and they truly mean it, by the time we’d been there 24 hours, all the staff knew our kids names and you never passed anyone without a smile and a “Bula”. Great food, buffet a little overpriced but expected on an island. Fantastic kids club, we thought our kids might go once or twice but they begged to go everyday. Lolli, Mickey, Repunzel & Cinderella (their kids club names) were fast friends. The whole place is set up so kid friendly but with parents firmly in mind. Great snorkelling right off the beach, the pools are great (but a bit cold given it is technically winter!). A perfect week spent in the best part of Fiji, we can’t wait to come back.

No words good enough to describe our week!!! Other than Beyond Perfect!! Remember it is a FAMILY resort, so there are kids! But rarely were they a problem, and that problem was a parent problem!!! Staff was unbelievable, and we immediately fell in love with all of them! Only, and I mean only!, issue was breakfast. We don’t usually eat a large breakfast, and you really have a single option, which is a buffet! Only problem with our trip, is that I didn’t plan on having “watery eyes” on our leaving, and we are already trying to plan a return trip to see our friends and family at Castaway Island!

A perfect Fiji experience for the family! Can’t wait to come back. Amazing everything and beautiful coral right outside the resort. Wonderful people. Loved every minute of it.

This was our first time at Castaway Island Resort. It is beautiful place. The staff are outstanding. We enjoyed the waterfront activities and we were grateful for Paul’s help. It was just my wife and me there. We enjoyed running into the kids club on occasion. The Wednesday evening Fiji night was lots of fun. We loved the staff dancing and singing. We loved the singing as we arrived and were leaving. Thank you for a very memorable 3 nights!

At the heart of the resort, bartenders Big Joe and Evi craft expertly mixed cocktails with flair and charm, while Maria and the sundowner staff provided impeccable service with genuine smiles, creating the perfect ambiance for relaxation. Dining at the resort was a delight thanks to Agi and Bubu at the restaurant, whose heart warming smiles, happy attitude and wonderful baby entertaining skills are to be commended, on top of serving delectable meals and catering to our vegetarian diet with creativity and finesse. The talented chefs deserve special mention for their dedication in crafting flavorful vegetarian dishes that delighted our taste buds every day. The resort's amenities catered to every member of the family, with the kids' pool providing endless entertainment for our little one, and the pristine beaches inviting us to indulge in the blissful barefoot lifestyle of the island. Overall, our stay at the Castaway Resort was nothing short of magical, thanks to the outstanding staff, breathtaking surroundings, and the laid-back island vibe that left us longing to return.

Very friendly people! Lots of staff. Incredible beach. Fantastic room. Nice extra touches. Food and drink was expensive. The snorkelling was incredible. A trigger fish bit us. They should post a warning of what they look like and to avoid them. Again,the snorkelling is beautiful! We had a glimps of a shark. Live music at meals was beautiful. We talked to families and the kids club was very popular. $10 for tea or coffee at meals but free in the room. Water was filtered and clean. Safe to drink. Very good buffet. The restaurants are not as advertised. One is just a different seating area from the rest and it’s too windy to use. All drinks were extremely expensive. Only unfriendly staff was the man at pool bar. Being sang to on and off the island was fun and memorable. Definitely want to go back. It’s paradise. The small round shells are very unique. There were no mosquitoes but as we pulled of we seen them spray a huge fog over everything. This seemed unhealthy. I wonder if they wash everything enough after this.

Our time on castaway was the most amazing experience and we didn't want to leave. The island is beautiful, there are lots of activities to keep you entertained if you wish or you can relax and soak up the sun and the wonderful hospitality. All the staff were helpful, kind and attentive. The entertainment at nights was varied and engaging. Imani and Rabbit's signing was always welcome, with a great range of songs and always smiling. I had an amazing massage that I can highly recommend. Our bure was clean and very comfortable, with daily maintenance and its location on the beach was perfect. Anyone looking for an island holiday should consider castaway island. The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. Amazing sunsets, adventure walks, snorkeling, water sports, tennis and what looked like a great kids club (we didn't use this as we don't have small children).

Castaway is a very special place. The people, location and resort are simply wonderful. Nothing is too hard and their ability to cater to dietary requirements was exemplary. Whether you want to do nothing but relax or fill your days with snorkelling, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, tennis, diving or fishing it’s all available. The bure’s are great and have everything you need. The Castaway family are very special and they treat you like family.

What a wonderful place. The people are so friendly you come away feeling like you are leaving your family. The buffet was amazing, compliments to the chef. The stone fired pizza was so yum. My favourtie fiji island so far.
