El Embajador, a Royal Hideaway Hotel

Incredible stay. Entrance, staff, rooms, the hotel grounds, room service. It was all lovely and the suite was beautiful and very convenient. Highly recommend for families!

Excellent Hotel, I will stay again with my family

Another excellent stay, this time with my family. Food was also on point and kids loved the buffet breakfast.

Music of an event held at the hotel was too loud. Other than that, my family and I were very pleased.

I heard of this place long time ago, and finally visited the place I was amazed of the renovation, and how nice it looks. I would recommended to family and friends, the pool was too deepfor kids that couldn't swim. Other than that it was great.

Quiet, clean, and safe. A good place to go with family. The only problem is that they turn off the A/C in the middle of the night and is very uncomfortable.

The hotel was really clean and everyone was very helpful my only complaint is that is not a kid friendly hotel. I have 2 children , 4 and 12 and the pool didn’t even have a kid section. Nothing available for them to keep them entertained.

we went to DR to visit family. stayed for a week. the rooms are great, staff super. the hotel es old shool, but has been well maintained. the only "but". breakfast can improve. Specially the cleanness at the hot cake and egg station. You can see how they dont clean pans, or grill after use. everything cooks together. The waitress at "las cotorras" during day shift... oh well... i had to ask her 3 times to come take an order, every time she would say yes... and just stay standing by the bar. we had to leave, she was very rude saying she had other customers

The check-in process at late-night took forever (close to an hour), and once we had the keys, the person at the desk informed us the pool was out of service. We were going to leave at that moment because the pool is essential for a family with kids escaping the cold, but he assured us it would be ready the morning of day 3 of our 7-day stay, and we were already tired of waiting to check-in. On day 3 the pool was not ready, neither on day 4. We spoke to the managers who said they would refund us the remaining days if we decided to leave early. I wanted them to refund the entire stay, but they couldn't get authorization, although the manager we spoke to thought it was reasonable. We left the property early to the Intercontinental which was fantastic. Unfortunately, we never received a refund for any time, although we were promised at least a partial refund for the days we did not stay there. I tried emailing them after we left multiple times, but never received a response. The service people were great, I'm just very disappointed by the management not following through with their promise to refund our days. Thankfully, the experience was very different at the Intercontinental, great service at the front desk with check-in and throughout, and a fantastic pool with a hot-tub...and our vacation was salvaged.
