Sun Gardens Dubrovnik

We really enjoyed our recent stay at Sun Gardens. Our rooms were great, very comfortable, clean and a good size. The beds were excellent. The overall hotel was lovely with great pool and beach areas and promenade with restaurants, ice cream shop and wine bar. Our kids loved the beach. We did however have an issue with the wet room shower with water sitting on the whole bathroom floor for a number of hours after showering, this was never resolved. There was a bit of inconsistency in the quality of food and drinks across the hotel. Drinks at the beach were not great and overpriced for what they were however the lounge bar drinks were much better. We visited 3 restaurants, 1 for pasta not so good, 1 for meat which was average and the Croatian restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was also of a good standard. Service was also inconsistent and not what I would have expected from a 5 star resort. Staff at the beach were great and there was enough staff however staff at the pool bars were not as helpful, seemed under pressure and not fully resourced. It was a mix at breakfast depending on where we were sat. Sports facilities and the kids club were excellent. However some staff were not as helpful as others. Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed the hotel but would say that with the cost of rooms, food, drink and activities I would have expected better and more consistent service from a 5 star hotel.

Excellent stay. The resort is big and has excellent facilities. From the moment we checked in staff were friendly and very helpful. Even got an upgrade which was amazing, as the terrace views were stunning and the kids had a bigger space to enjoy outdoors. The sports centre is great, the gym has lots of equipment to get a decent workout and it’s never to busy that you can’t get on one of the machines. The football pitch was our main base as our son loves football so it’s great to have this in the hotel and also the games room with the pS games, to lounge for a bit after a good workout on sports centre. Thank you for making this a memorable stay. We would thoroughly recommend it and hope to be back again soon.

Amazing hotel, great food friendly staff, clean. Perfect holiday for any age. 3 large pools with bars 2 with children’s pool, plenty of sun beds ect. Pebbled beach with sun beds & bar just a short walk down from the hotel. 5 restaurants all different. Wonderful Spa. Great breakfast choices. Lovely bar in the hotel & amazing views. Shops, supermarket children’s clubs & much more. Nothing is too much trouble. My husband & I had an amazing holiday.

Stunning property in a beautiful location. Staff were attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble Great selection of restaurants, well cooked & presented food. We stayed in one of the Residences which was spacious and very well equipped. We had a great few days Stayed as 2 adults & 1 child

We had a lovely stay at Sun Gardens which we chose mainly for the resort style stay, whilst being able to get into Dubrovnik for a day visit. We arrived by ferry from Korcula and arranged a transfer to the hotel ahead of time which worked seamlessly. Check in great and efficient and we were upgraded to a 2-bedroom residence which was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated! The resort is HUGE, and we got a golf buggy to the room with our luggage. The residence was very large and really well equipped, very clean and modern. The pools were very nice, there were two outdoor pools available to us with our 5-year old. Both had pool bars and food available. Service was great. Prices were a little inflated but actually not crazy in comparison to town and other places we visited. There were a few things round the pool which could do with a bit of maintenance - one of the paddling pools was empty and the fountains and bubbles weren't working which was a shame. Also, the floor of the pool area was incredibly slippery and quite dangerous if bare foot. There were a number of dining options, but we found that all but one were too fussy and too expensive, especially if dining with children. The pizza / pasta restaurant was the only one really suitable so we ate there twice out of three evenings. We went to the Saturday night party with Asian food which we would highly recommend. The food was lovely. Overall a fab stay and we would definitely come back!

Wonderful Hotel, Beautiful location, friendly staff. We spent 10 days here and wanted to stay longer. Very family friendly. I feel like this hotel and location is defiantly a hidden gem.

Sun Gardens Dubrovnik is an amazing hotel with great pools for all ages. Beautiful scenery, lots of restaurants that served delicious food, staff very cordial, parking included and the rooms were spacious, clean and big. Also we had beach access as well, which we love attending both-pool and beach. My family and I were thrilled with our stay.

Fantastic resort for families with kids. Nothing to fault really. Friendliness and service is particularly good.

What I liked most about this property is that you didn’t have to leave unless you wanted to explore more. This property is family friendly and has every amenity you can think of. I would highly recommend it and I would also revisit it as well.
