Dubrovnik President Valamar Collection Hotel

Wonderful hotel, don't know how anyone can score this low. From entering the lobby on the first day to being picked up by the airport shuttle driver on the last day it was just the best relaxing holiday my wife and I have had. Without a doubt the staff are really what made it extra special. So attentive, smiling and couldn't do enough for you, and warm praise to the new recruits serving us at breakfast, they did well. The location was spot on with several restaurants and beaches in close proximity if you wanted a change of scenario. The bus stop is just outside the hotel and runs into the main town every 10 mins and only 2 euros. Room was good, a bit tired in places but nothing to spoil the week and it might be good to have a parasol on the balcony as it gets extremely hot in the afternoon with no shade. Housekeeping also brilliant and handled any query you had. The facilities in the hotel were great, 2 pools plus the beach. Then there is the live entertainment and plenty of things for children to do. Will definitely go back.

Incredible. A no-kidding five star resort.

I was looking forward to a holiday in Croatia with my family and had booked to stay in this hotel for part of my trip. Unfortunately 2 days before we were due to fly out, one of my family were taken ill and admitted to hospital. I had expected that the hotel manager might look upon my request for a refund with compassion and sensitivity. I was very disappointed to hear back from management that the policy is no refunds.

We stayed 7 nights. The rooms are actually much nicer than on the Expedia pictures. Despite having a little ant issue the property is very nice and has an awesome view from each room. Breakfast buffet is very nice, enjoy it from the terrace if you can. The SPA area requires a bit of an update. The Maro world kids club is awesome our little girl loved it. Overall a great location and extremely nice, helpful staff! Thanks for the warm welcome! Adrian

This is an amazing hotel with spectacular views and an incredible entrance. It is beautifully located in Lapad with a private beach out front. The hotel itself is very clean, classy and has lots of extras such as the Piano Bar with live music, extensive wellness area and both the high quality Main restaurant.But it is the staff that truly makes this hotel exceptional, from the cleaning personnel to the waiters at the restaurant to the front desk office, everyone is very kind, friendly, helpful and goes the extra mile to make sure all your needs are met.We will definitely come back to this hotel in the future and would honestly recommend staying at this hotel to everyone who wishes to visit Dubrovnik, Croatia. Our room and balcony were very spacious but they also had breathtaking sea views, perfect for sunsets. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept like a baby for all 5 nights. Choice of food in the buffet restaurant was excellent and all the staff we had contact with were extremely helpful and polite. I had a very pleasant stay.

Lovely hotel. Great base to explore Dubrovnik and the Elefiti islands. Apart from the v nice pool and beach slightly limited things to do esp for kids. scuba was ok. nice 20 min walk to Sunset beach wher plenty of restaurants to eat at.
