Royal Palm Hotel

Nice resort with a lot of amenities and beautiful views. Was peaceful. Seemed to be a good spot for families, couples, or groups. It was a little far off the bus line, but Ubers into Old Town were inexpensive. Two bathrooms in our room for three were nice. I didn't like that we had to go searching for things like towels for the beach, that there were stains on our white bedding, and that the extra bed wasn't made up as it had been in the other hotels we stayed in on our trip. We were only there for one night, so didn't get the full experience of the resort.

very scenic location with beautiful direct ocean exposure and views and great cliffs. It's a 15 minute Uber to the old city but stikes a great balance between exploring the city and enjoying a beautiful resort. Many restaurants down a beautiful walk along adjacent promenade. Great stay for family.

Overall hotel and resort very comfortable. Location is great and bad. Great for the views, it’s about a 10 min walk along the promenade to Lapad Bay. The bus stop is close to go to the old town. Bad in that it’s not good for anyone with mobility issues. Lots of stairs and not good connections between parts of the resort. We stayed in a junior suite, again overall lovely. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom and shower rooms really good. Sofa in living area not so comfy to sit on, we didn’t use as bed so can comment on that. The view from the balcony was spectacular. Resort in general could be better. Numerous facilities closed at different times with no notification. During day only bar that seemed to be open were the beach bar and the one at the top of the Royal Blue adult only pool. If at any other pools and you wanted a drink, you had a walk on your hands. Service in general was patchy. Normally only 2 people on at the beach bar and at lunchtimes had a full area to cover. Breakfast was a nightmare. We tried various different times, but was chaos. So many people in one place for breakfast (all hotels in one locations) the staff couldn’t keep up trying to fill dishes, tables were constantly full. I think maybe at other times other restaurants are open for breakfast but not when we stayed. Room service finished at 11pm, there is no ice machines and all bars were closed so no where to get anything. Overall it’s a lovely resort.
