Hotel Casa Roland San José

A unique and beautiful place! Feels like the staff is a part of big family. Will definitely stay there next time visiting San Jose.

We loved our one-night stay and are happy we’ll be staying here one more night at the end of our vacation in Costa Rica. The quiet, elegant feeling and uncommercial ambiance is so great. Really nice staff and a lovely shower in our junior suite. Thanks!

The history of the property made it unique, the art work was visually stunning with at least a couple of pieces having a interested past. The staff was detail oriented, treating my wife and i more like family than guests. We both agreed that this was one of if not the best experience we've ever had. I wanted to get everyone's name to make direct compliments but failed, to I Marion and Palmera, I hope i got the spelling right, to the outstanding culinary crew and house keeping, my wife and i want to thank you for making us feel like we were the only guests there, so much attention to the little and big details.

two things you need to know... number one not for children. number two THE STAFF IS AMAZING! when you first enter the hotel even in the lobby there are several adult paintings so don't bring your kids. there is a bar in the lobby and the neiberhood isn't the most friendly at first sight... BUT this is a great stop over place for inbetween flights in and out of san jose. THE STAFF WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU! by the time I arrived after my flight and got my rental car it was 10:30pm ish... maybe later... by the time I was settled in (including delivery from a local restaurant!) it was 12:30am ish... then in the morning they helped me print out my itinerary that I had forgotten to print. also there is a local grocery/pharmacy down the street to help you get the things that make vacas go smoothly (like garbage bags, bottled water, and ciproflaxen for anti montizumas revenge) they also have room safes and a private locked parking lot to keep your stuff safe (because no matter how many stars or what country your in you will just have those people out to ruin your vaca).

Great hotel, really beautiful decoration and ample variety of rooms even for big families. Highly recommended
