Hôtel Plaza Québec

after driving 10 hours from Ontario on vacation with my two young children, the hotel informed us that they canceled our reservation when we arrived to check in at the hotel. The receptionist was rude and offered no assistance except to write down the names of some other hotels to check into on a piece of paper.

Except for the kid throwing up in the pool on our last day of our stay everything else was very good..The room was excellent.. Air conditioner works great..The restaurant was so so..

Beautiful place, front desk staff were a bit gruff both times I had an encounter with them, but the concierge/bellman was VERY nice and helpful. Pool area was gorgeous, but jam packed every time we tried to swim except at 8 am when it opened. Hot tub was filled with children the entire time. Rooms were lovely and comfy, espresso machine and fridge were great to have. Food was good, room service quick to deliver. Great location, plenty of parking even for the busy holiday. Construction on the main road out front, but was easy enough to access via detours. All around nice place to stay.

My recent stay at The Plaza Hotel was disappointing primarily due to the room location. While the facility itself is pleasant, Room 105, situated on the ground level facing the parking lot, presented several issues. Large prom parties within the hotel caused significant noise disturbances throughout the night, with loud conversations and music drifting into my room. Additionally, the room's proximity to the parking lot meant frequent disturbances from guests and children banging on windows. As a family seeking a peaceful retreat, these disruptions severely impacted our ability to rest and enjoy our stay. Despite the hotel's nice amenities and services, the room location and disturbances from nearby activities overshadowed our experience. I would caution families or those seeking a quiet stay, especially during eventful periods like prom season, against booking rooms facing the parking lot or areas prone to gatherings.

The front desk staff was okay. However, I asked for a bed or something for my two year old, they said no problem. The staff came upstairs with the bed and could not put it together. He sent someone else about 2hrs later. I had to come downstairs because the phone in the room did not work and ask for a mattress for the wooden bed, 4hrs later. They said “oops we forgot”. I went to have dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, the host was RUDE! Exceptionally disrespectful! The steak was overcooked and very tough to eat. I spoke to the manger Michael, two times to express how disappointed I was from her disrespect. She was throwing her hands up saying “sit there or leave”. “I don’t care if your kids want to see the show, this is what I have”. There’s a way to say things, especially after driving 7hrs to come by. Michael did not care! His response was “okay, okay”. All in all, I will never be back. We are a military family, I will be sure to let my friends and family know this is NOT the hotel to stay at when they visit Quebec City.

Great experience for the family. The concerts in the evening were a treat to watch from the balcony of our room.

very family oriented. great for kids specially for the indoor pool. . I wish the swimming pool closed earlier for kids maybe at 9:00pm and the last 2 hours were given just for adults. just a subjection. i was not able to enjoy the pool because it was always fool of kids. but anyways, the kids brings life and they should always comes first. thank you.

Loved everything, the only tricky part was that the room door didn’t have a high lock option and our toddler could easily escape. A high latch would make it much safer and easier with a child.

Nice family hôtel

This hotel is SO loud! Do not go there if you want to relax, nope. At 7 PM to 10 PM you get someone who sings songs from, you will get to enjoy whatever you want or not since there is literally zero isolation. I had a team of young hockey player running up and down the corridor yelling up to midnight. And be ready to hear kids yell from the pool at 8 am sharp. The staff was nice and the rooms are super clean, the restauant was pretty good too. Some of the stuff in the hotel is a bit old but charming.
