Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sudbury

Perfectly good hotel. My only issue was with noise. I was in a ground floor room and could hear noise from the pool, kids running down the hall, conversations in the hallway and outside, etc. Choose an upper level room far from the pool.

Reception worker during check in was unhelpful and rude. The room next door had an alarm going off for my entire stay. Went to the front desk twice and found no reception worker. Pool was freezing cold (watched multiple children excited and once touching the water were upset. Jets in hot tub didnt work. While having a shower, the hot water would stop every 3 minutes and get freezing cold. The view from the room was terrible as well. Was unaware they dont take cash or debit for the safety deposit. Ive booked multiple times through expedia for hotels all around Sudbury and have always used debit/Mastercard for the safety. There is no note of it on their website, only a piece of paper once you get to the hotel that states it.

All was good the grandkids loved the pool.

My family enjoy the pool and hot tub when we come, we only choose to stay at microtel, the uncluded hot breakfast is amazing, we really love the options. The only real negative I have is the evening staff dont seem to want to be there at all, morning staff are awesome!

Clean and great location. Good hot breakfast and nice pool. Great spot for a family layover.

The suite was not the best. Pull out bed had blood on it in 2 places. Absolutely disgusting. Bugs in the washroom, hair dryer didn’t work. Dishes were not very clean, but the fridge seemed to be clean. The pool was okay, but could have been more clean.. breakfast was not the greatest either. Unfortunately I won’t be bringing my family back here. Would not recommend

We are in the far back corner which turned out to be above the pool. It was very loud until the pool was closed. Wouldn't recommend being in this part of the hotel if you have small kids who go to bed early. Otherwise the facility is great

I had special circumstances to cancel the stay. I was traveling with sick kids and pet I spoke first with the manager Jennifer. She said the hotel will not charge my card if Expedia does not charge the hotel. When talking to the agent Mohammed apparently the receptionist refused the refund. Between Mohamed the Expedia agent, Jennifer the hotel manager, and Morgan the receptionist I was given a horrible treatment. Expedia agent Mohammed was not helpful, gave me the run around between Expedia and the hotel. Told me the hotel is refusing to not charge. Refused a refund. I went in person to the hotel. Morgan and another staff said Expedia did not even call. Morgan proceeded to tell me the hotel manager Jennifer is denying the refund, was not humanly empathetic to an exception although they were aware of it, suggested I lie, said « I don’t feel like it » and raised her voice. Threatened to call security. For no reason. I never ever was treated like this in my entire life. I travel the world at good hotels. The only reason I checked this horrible place is bc I was traveling with pets and other options were non existent. Morgan and the other one should definitely not work as receptionists. Jennifer should not be an assist manager either. When I came back with my family to take the room they were charging me regardless for, Morgan refused the check in. Told me to leave otherwise she will call police. Humiliating and degrading experience I don’t wish on anyone.

A clean and comfortable hotel. I would never choose another after staying there twice now. The pool is great. As well as the sauna. Just wish it was bigger when everyone brings their kids at the same time. It stayed open late which is Fantastic. The breakfast selections are over the top with choices.

Lovely staff and very family friendly. The room itself was clean and very comfortable. Some things we noticed that could be improved, more hooks/towel bars. As a family of 4 we had 2 hooks to hang our dripping bathing suits and towels. The shower wall doesn’t come out far enough and so water leaks onto the floor. Just a design flaw really. No kleenx in the room and only shampoo/conditioner, no extras. But those are major issues just a heads up when you’re packing in case you want lotion or body wash. We enjoyed the pool and even at the end of a busy day during March break they had towels available.
