Bayview Wildwood Resort, Ascend Hotel Collection

Very nice property. Great front desk and reception staff. Lots of activities for the whole family. Nice cozy cottages.

Lovely property with beautiful views of the lake. The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. We enjoyed the food at Echoes and loved that they had a children's buffet. Only complains were that there were bits of dirt on washroom floor (not fun to step on with wet feet), and the water was brownish from the tap - may be a naturally occuring thing so I didn't bring it up. Otherwise, we would definitely return! It's a nice place to relax and unwind with the family. :)

Great service and all events were well organized. Friendly staff and great room. Entertainment for the kids. Relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

We had a good weekend at Bayview Wildwood. Two adults, and two kids ages 8/10. The property is unique and beautifully situated along Sparrow Lake and the room was clean, updated and the beds were SUPER cozy. While we enjoyed our trip overall, we thought there were some simple things that would make big improvements to the overall experience. Sauna or a jacuzzi in the pool area (even consider outdoor sauna for extra winter fun!). I thought there was a jacuzzi but - there is not! Have the ice cleared early in the morning during the winter!!! (Two days in a row we spent a lot of time finding shovels, and clearing snow, so that we could skate. We thought it would take a staff person maybe 45 minutes to clear a huge area of the ice and that this should be done every morning in the winter for guests! This would have improved my experience big time!) Good coffee. I think usually the resort has a small shop that likes has coffee in its market - which is not opened during some of the winter (it was not open when we were there) but we would have loved somewhere on site to get a good coffee, an espresso. Or to get simple foods like a bagel with cream cheese, some fruit - things like this. Lastly, the lay out and system for the games room could be improved. The kids loved the fun zone room but the gym / games room could use some re thinking for better use and more comfort! Thanks for a good family weekend!

Comfortable cabin overlooking the lake. Lots of things for the kids to do and many free amenities.

Newly renovated rooms and cottages very quiet when places fall in the evening. I like the idea that our families meet halfway and have felt place to stay and be all together.

This is a great property for families ., especially little ones as it has a walk in beach. Accommodations and beds were just fine. Food however, not great. Was just ok. Soggy garlic toast, greasy food, for the price, so decided to go into Orillia for dinner the next night and we found a wonderful restaurant called Lot 88. The outside porch was nice to sit on, facing the water however the lights were all covered in cobwebs. A little more exterior property maintenance would go a long way and increase the overall look of the property. Regardless , we had a nice time.

Great place to bring the family. We really liked the easy beach access and firepit. The indoor park for my little ones was fun, as well as the pool

Lots of activities for our grandkids and all staff were great!

We were a group of 4 families. The resort staff was very friendly and accomodating. The check-in / check-out process was very slow and old school. The majority of the facilities worked. The resort is a but dated but that added to the charm.
