Best Western Plus Mariposa Inn & Conference Centre

Staff was super kind and helpful. We had requested a rollaway bed and the person who checked us in, saw the request and wanted us to let him know if we didn't have it. We did. Through no fault of the hotel, there was a power outage from roughly 6:15 pm to 12:04 am. No backup generator. I felt for the staff, it had to be stressful for them too. The door stop in our room was broken and literally just sitting on the floor when we came in. It just rolled from it's spot because it wasn't anchoredn to the floor at all. My husband also used the exit door on the second floor near the elevator and when he pressed the bar to open the door, a piece of the bar just fell off. The pool is large but only 1.2m deep at its deepest, so the water landed at our hips at most. Our kids really loved it, but a little less satisfying for the adults. Pool was in some disrepair as well. Shedding paint floating in the water and rust spots in places. I also picked out a total of four dead bugs while there. That's the reality of having a door leading outside though. Finally the tub didn't drain very fast, so when we showered we had probably 2 inches of water hanging out in the tub. I was concerned that it wouldn't drain, but I could hear it after the shower, it was just really slow. Overall, it was decent. A place to sleep. But we chose this hotel over another, despite that it was slightly more expensive. I'm not sure it was worth the higher price.

It was a short stay, with a short visit with family. There were many food options that were close by and walkable. It was what we needed. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

The staff here is more than excellent and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We stayed three nights. Our room was very clean and had almost everything you could want in a hotel room for convenience and comfort. Our dream is that hotels will stop installing toddler height toilets or make available rooms with higher toilets for people who are very tall or have mobility issues. We made use of the lovely, huge gazebo out back to sit and relax in the quiet and admire the well kept grounds and just "be". A very relaxing stay! Thank you!

I liked the proximity of my room to the exit and elevator. The staff were pleasant. My grandchildren enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Booked this for my children and their dad for a night while they ice fish, they aren’t glamorous people but described it as like the shining. The pool however was great and saved the day!

I didn’t care for the fact that when I walked in with my family and 3 month old baby that we were looked down upon because we were a younger family. Guy at front desk was very pushy and accused myself of going to smoke in the smoke free room, was also an issue that we used debit visa instead of a Mastercard wanted to charge us 250 instead of 150 safety deposit fee won’t go back
