Clean and comfortable place to stay with a decent breakfast. Unfortunately, we didn't realize a minor league hockey team was also staying at our hotel Family Day weekend - on the 4th floor, the same floor as us. The first afternoon there was a hockey game in the hallway. But it was in the evenings that it was most noisy - until about 10:15 or so. Lots of running up and down the hall, yelling and doors slamming. To the parents: Please spare a thought for other hotel guests and rein in your kids a bit. To the hotel: How about installing better soundproofing? Or give hockey families their own floor. For us: Travel with better ear plugs, and check with hotel re local hockey tournaments and stay elsewhere if possible.

Perfect spot to bring a family for the weekend. Free breakfast helped to start the day off.

Very easy to check in and out. Staff was very friendly and the room (and overall building) was very clean. Breakfast was surprisingly good - bagels, omelettes, sausages, waffles, cereal, etc. Very busy on the weekend but any frustration we had was with other guests being inconsiderate - buffet was refreshed often. Briefly used the pool - I went in alone for some relaxation time, but a few moments after I got in a few kids came down and were diving/splashing/playing around. I was disappointed but realized the reality of a shared pool in a hotel such as this - they were not disrespectful at all, just being kids. Overall a great stay - would definitely return if coming back to the area!

The hotel was very clean and nice. We were disappointed with the breakfast, we went for breakfast at 8:30am there was nothing, not even bread, and we had to wait for 10 minutes for the frozen toast and eggs to be placed. No waffles, toast, bagels or yogurts. The juice selection was empty, no milk. We had to go to Tim Horton to get breakfast for our kids. I see so much complain about breakfast, I don’t know why the managements don’t do anything about it. But overall I was happy with our clean room.

We travelled to Goderich for a Celebration of Life for a family member on June 4. We had asked for an early check in, but told that wouldn't be possible because of being short staffed. Fair enough. We proceeded to the family event when we got to Goderich. On checking in to the hotel after the event, we inquired about what time the pool was open until. We were then told that the pool was not open because of chemical levels. This was very disappointing to my 8 year old granddaughter. We specifically booked this hotel because it had a pool. When I asked to get some sort of discount off my bill, the staff member initially said no problem, but then stated that because we had booked through a third party, they could not do that. The staff member then offered to reimburse us if we went to the YMCA and showed them our receipts for using their pool. We had been travelling all day and attended a funeral - draining to say the least. The last thing I wanted to do was travel around Goderich to find a place to swim. When I got home, I checked previous reviews and one in April of 2022 stated that they had chemical issues with the pool at that time too and the pool wasn't open. I was even more disappointed when I read that review. In a newer hotel, one would think that the amenities would be functioning. We paid $315 to sleep in a bed for the night. Ridiculous! Never again.
