Although this hotel looks like a nice Marriott online, when you arrive it's a renovated motel with Marriott finishing. Mostly good. When you arrive, lmake sure you ask which stairway to go up. The front desk just said "go up the stairs". Well - we chose the wrong one and had a 10 minute walk with all our stuff and kids) trying to find our room number, only to have to turn around and try again.
Next, the bathroom door only shut if you really shoved it. Not a big deal until kids are sleeping at night and you wake them.
We asked for a cot and a nice man showed up with a crib, he brought a cot on the second trip back and then had to call down to get sheets for the cot. But we did finally get them, and we were not charged for that cot so that was nice.
The beds are comfy Marriott beds, very nice and lots of towels available. We took the kids for a swim but the water was so cold it only lasted 10 minutes. Bathrooms are tiny. Not a big deal if you're a solo adult but if you need to wash your kids' hair, good luck :(
The noise from the hall and neighbouring rooms was so loud even our sound machine couldn't drown it out. Kids usually go to bed at 8, but with all the noise it was well after 10 before we settled them. Breakfast was nice, lots of options and friendly morning staff. Cleanliness was good overall. Some spots that need more cleaning (beside/behind the toilet and nightstand).
We won't be back. Lots of other better options in the area, $206 wasn't well spent this time.

I liked the location as it was easy to find. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. We did not like the beds as they were very uncomfortable( way too soft) so we got very little sleep the two nights we were there. The front desk clerk was very unfriendly and not at all helpful. After looking all around the motel and trying different entrances we had to go back to the lobby to ask how we got into the building to access our room. She said I gave you a map. My wife finally asked her to draw arrows on the map to show us where the entrance was. We are seniors and handicapped and are not used to this kind of treatment. She may have been having a bad day but we had just driven 3 1/2 hours to attend a family member funeral and were tired. Perhaps someone with a few more people skills would be a better person to handle incoming guests?

The property was fine. But when we showed up at 6 pm , 3 hours after check in, our room wasn’t ready. We had to wait. After a trip to the washroom, we came back to approximately 5 more families waiting for rooms. And when our room was ready, all they offered us was a complimentary bottle of water. Then when I went to have a shower, the shower head wouldn’t turn on. The handle literally just spun around in circles. I was able to jiggle it on eventually with a lot of muscle. But then that led to the question… how did they clean my tub before I got my room? I then had to flag down a very kind staff in the hallway and they got tools and fixed the shower.

The Fairfield staff made the difference. They were friendly and helpful. Loved the mobile app as I have used it few times to order some towels. My kids enjoyed the swimming pool. Breakfast also was good, knowing that my kids have special needs and we were able to have something for them. So yes, my family and myself have enjoyed our stay in this hotel and we would recommend it!

We stayed 5 days and they still have no room cleaning policy due to pandemic, which is not acceptable for a long stay.
Room was renovated but doors are still outdate and weary.
Room/bathroom door wouldn't close/lock if not pushed hard.
Bathroom space was very small, for family with kid was not practical.
All plates/utensils in breakfast was disposable non-recyclable. Breakfast was poor few variety/selection, Coffee was watery.
I asked for a room change and staff was rude.
Price was very high for what we got. ($269/night)

The breakfasts (both the food and staff) were fantastic. Our kids loved the pool. The rooms have been nicely maintained/updated.
Rooms were pretty noisy from hallway and being able to hear neighbours.
I would still recommend Fairfield Inn & Suites in Belleville.
