Best Western Belleville

I noticed that the usual things that are found in a motel/hotel were missing such as: an information brochure about the features of the hotel...where things are located etc. Also I was unable to call the front desk on the phone in my room. In addition I would have welcomed a pen and pad of paper on the desk. I was speaking with a family member about the lack of "niceities" and was advised that because I had booked through Expedia my room was 'bare bones'. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful!

I went there with my family to watch the eclipse. The hotel is clean and offering free parking. Breakfast is included. There is a mall just across the street. So, it's very convenient for food, doing some shopping. It's located not so far from HWY 401. This hotel is good for people looking for short stay in Belleville.

We stayed overnight in Belleville ahead of the 2024 eclipse and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our stay at the Best Western. The room was spacious and clean, the staff members were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was easy to get to just off the highway. Despite being quite busy with more visitors in town for the eclipse, the hotel staff kept the towels at the pool and ensured the breakfast was hot and fresh right up to the end of the breakfast seating. They even made a cute little eclipse-themed breakfast menu, which our kids loved. The hotel is in a good location with access to shopping and other services, but overnight it was nice and quiet.

I saw reviews for this place online and was a little worried but I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and customer service. Breakfast was great and the pool is nice for the kids. I'd have no issues staying here again.

The staff at the hotel were pretty rude. We were in same elevator as some staff and they were very unhappy. At checkout, the girl was really rude to myself and my cousin who checked out before us. We did get a complimentary bottle of wine, 3 roses and a pack of licorice in our room since it was our anniversary which was very appreciated. The waffle maker was out of order because we were told they ran out of batter mix. Very disappointed especially for my kids.

I chose this hotel out of many in the area based on its facilities AND the reviews and it didn’t disappoint. It was clean, updated and had all we needed for a few days away. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Our room was clean as was the fridge and microwave. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff made sure to stock up items as soon as was needed. My kids loved making their own BW waffles ! The cooked menu changed each day, my favourite was the mini omelettes ! They even provide gluten free bread. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub after a day on the beach, which was about a 30min drive away. We cooked our dinner on the bbq in the small garden behind the pool. There was a Metro supermarket close by and the biggest Walmart I have ever experienced!!! There’s a great Mall across the street. The only reason I gave the area a lower grade is because I was hoping to be able to walk around a nice downtown district but there’s really not much to walk to except fast food restaurants. The harbour front is a short drive away. I hope this review helps. I would definitely stay there again. Maybe I’ll take my dog since it’s pet friendly and there’s a section of Sandbank beach where dogs are welcome.

Property did not have the rooms reserved, but managed to find suitable accommodation, though rooms were then on different floors (travelling as a larger family group that became cumbersome) and at different rates from price quoted at reservation. Pool area does NOT have a shower where people can wash off before entering the pool, despite signs requiring bathers to do so. Breakfast area in the lobby is crammed and main entrance is also used for garbage haul-out, very unsanitary. Ice machine broken.

Good breakfast, nice pool. It was difficult to fall asleep first night due to very noisy guests over the thin conjoined door and room clock alarm kept going off after midnight, startling kids and us.
