Maritime Inn Antigonish

The room was very clean and had everything we needed. It was easy to hear other guests using their shower and there was some children yelling who could be heard very clearly.

We got a nice view from the window. I liked the fact that the bathroom was splitted. Bath and toilet in a room and sink separate. However, I didn't like at all that the the light was inly one for both. Getting up in the middle of the night I needed the light on and I woke up my child because the light also illuminated the whole room

Unfortunately there were a number of pieces to our stay that didn’t meet our expectations. At check in, we were charged an extra $25 for a child even though the room had an occupancy of 4 and we were only four people. We were told that breakfast began at 8:00 which wouldn’t be possible for us as we had to leave earlier than that. We were then told that we could access a cold breakfast in the morning instead. Upon check out, we were told that someone would have to go and retrieve items for the cold breakfast. Nothing was set up. We waited for close to 10 mins before we had to leave empty handed. I was then told that I should have called 10 mins before leaving and they would have had something ready. That should have been explained at check in. The room was clean (a little dated) and beds were comfortable. The floors outside the washrooms on the main level and at the entrance to the restaurant were very sticky. Lastly, we ate dinner at the restaurant where we have previously eaten (on the outdoor patio) and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. This time, the food was still very good but the server was very indifferent and appeared to not really care to be there. Overall, we were just disappointed. We had heard great things but this visit really fell short of our expectations.
