Ramada by Wyndham Nanaimo

Definitely an overrated hotel. I don’t know how it has an over 8 rating. The lobby is small and a bit run down. The room is comfortable and roomy. The washroom is a bit old. The washroom amenities are cheap. The check in agent was least bothered about providing good service. I stayed with my wife and 2 kids. She first gave us a room where the A/C didn’t work properly and the washroom door wouldn’t close. It would rub against the floor tiles and wouldn’t close. I went down to ask for a room change and the same front desk agent said ‘Oh that’s how it has always been…’ saying it like it’s normal and I should accept it as is. She thankfully gave us another room and the second room was fine. The breakfast is not impressive except the waffle which was good. The breakfast server was really nice. I think she was East European and really cared for guests and made sure everything was stocked right away. I won’t be staying here again though.

Lobby smell so bad when u enter. Ac make weird noises. Whole family got sick.

Close to family home. Quiet with lovely helpful staff. Eggs at breakfast could do with upgrade. Also gf bread would be helpful. Otherwise good.

Perfect hotel for families. This is a basic hotel, with large clean rooms. They offer a fantastic complimentary breakfast. Great overall value.

It was a wonderful stay with my family (3 kids). Although it was not our first choice when we did our search and booking, it turned out to be a very good choice. The staff were very kind, and the room was very clean, spacious and well maintained. The snack bags were very considerate for the people like us to catch early ferries. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and your family.

We had a very good experience at the Ramada in Nanaimo. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Our family had a comfortable stay and a yummy breakfast which included freshly cooked waffles!
