Inn On Long Lake

My husband and I stayed one night while visiting family. We got a "lake view" room, however we were unable to open our patio door due to construction right below us in front of the lake. It continued on until 7- 8 pm at night, then started again Sunday morning at 8 am. The bed was far too soft, as though the springs were worn out completely. Front desk staff were friendly, breakfast buffet was quite good with muffins, cereal, and hot items. Would not choose to stay here again.

We liked the 2 rooms we rented. One was for my daughter and her family. Beautiful rooms with private bedroom with 2 beds and a separate living room with pull out couch and huge TV. Very nice kichen. Our room was much smaller but suited my husband and i. Breakfast was yummy.

I loved the little added little touches ( welcome gift bags for the kids lemon water and snack in the lobby). The complimentary breakfast had lots of options which included omelettes and make your own waffles. My one complaint was there must of been a leaking pipe and all night it sounded like a ping pong match as happening, I got zero compensation and it was so booked they didn’t have another room to offer.

Fantastic experience, great staff, beautiful convenient location, swimming in the lake, hot tub to warm up, great play area for the kids, quiet at night in spite of proximity to the highway, amazing breakfast. I can't say enough about the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, a real pleasure to stay here because of the employees :)

We stayed in the family suite which provided everything we needed. View was great and staff were very helpful. The hotel is very central and close to shopping and restaurants. I would stay again and recommend this hotel.

We were very impressed with the Inn on Long Lake, it represented extremely good value, was comfortable and clean. We only had a short overnight stay, but would happily stay there again if back in Nanaimo. Our only “ criticisms” would be of the buffet breakfast, which lacked good protein options, especially for someone who is lactose intolerant. In addition, black tea was unavailable, which seem odd!! Having said that the rest of the breakfast was excellent, with fair variety, and they even had gluten free bread available. Overall, a very good experience, and we would recommend the Inn on Long Lake to friends and family.

Loved the private deck overlooking the lake. I was out there each morning as the family slept. The Keurig coffee in room was good and having a fridge and microwave was very important to us. I also appreciated the housekeeping service! Friendly staff and just nice to have the service back!

Absolutely beautiful property. The family room was well laid out. The furniture in the rooms was a bit older. The bedroom was lovely but the living room furniture could use an upgrade.

We were very pleased with our stay here and the attitude of the staff was very friendly and helpful. We did have a heat thermostat which became stuck however the staff was efficient and it was replaced quickly. The only annoyance was on sat nite we stayed in for the evening and there was a herd of teenagers who raced back and forth in the hallways running and screaming . It was noisy and disruptive. The parents were all sitting outside around a campfire so they were oblivious to it. But it was maddening and the desk attendant was aware. He said he tried to quiet the kids but the parents should have been approached and many did not appear to be staying at the hotel.

We ended up staying in 2 different rooms (our fault for trying to add an extra night) but in both cases everything was perfect except for the beds. The beds were so soft & worn-out that our entire family had a hard time sleeping and woke up with sore backs.
