Older property that was priced right. We wanted a room we could park in front of, with a kitchenette, so we could prepare gear (and our own meal) before headed out into the backcountry. Having a separate bedroom for the kids so they did not have to hear the parents’ snoring was a plus.

The Apple Tree was a great place to stay while in the Kootenays. The room we were in was really dated but comfortable and clean. Had two beds with one in a separate room which was nice with bringing the kids.

The walls are very thin (can hear kids speaking and the guests showering next door), The decor is dated and could use some minor repairs but the room is clean. Weird to have a broom/dust pan left beside the door in the room. They did give us a dog friendly room which is such a blessing with our little dog so thankful they were so accommodating. The front desk clerk was very friendly!

We were in room #21, and it looked like a barn. The room looked dead, the floor was broken, the bathroom had cigarette spots on the counter, and there wasnt even a curtain on the bathroom window. Many other things were also absent, and one of those was something as simple as a blanket. There were two beds and none of them had it. There was a small dirty fridge that had a microwave on top of it. This room was a total disrespect that costed us $140/per night ( they did not refun a cent ). Nobody, should stay in places like that. Me and my family didnt want to stay in a place like that so we returned the keys and drove home. All in all, if I had the chance to place 0 stars, I would do so.

Good location, reasonable price, wide & comfortable room and fully equipped kitchen. I strongly recommend this inn, especially, for family. Very friendly staff as well. My wife and kids really love it and we'll stay later again, certainly!

Windows didn’t like to stay open on the back wall, and you only got one of each item (towels trash bag etc) asking for them was easy and simple. As we came here to hike, not being able to ask for refresh items in the morning was a bit annoying. But as everything in the town closed up at 10 pm they were open later than that for us to request things then. The room was the perfect size for a family of 4 and 2 big dogs. And having a kitchenette and fridge made life a lot easier. 10/10 would return again.

Hairs on sheets; very noisy until after 1:00 am with children and adults running past doors and yelling; very hot room with tiny, weak air conditioner; beds were very comfortable and shower hot. Staff friendly and provided extra towels for use at hot springs.
