The staff was friendly when we checked in. I was hoping this would be a great experience for my family. However, I was given a room where none of the phones work and the internet is not working. I have to walk down to reception to tell them and one of the guy said they’ll send technician right away. I’ve waited 2 hours and no one came. My kids were not able to watch YouTube. There is no pool in this hotel. I went down to the reception and felt the service is terrible and told them I’ve been waiting for 2 hours. They asked me if privacy sign was on the door and I said no. The people at the front desk said they’re sorry and will send technician over right away. Another 30 minutes goes by, no one again. I went down to reception again, note the phone doesn’t work. I was disappointed that no one gave me attention for a hotel that charges 700 a night. I ask them to immediately change me to a room that works. They hesitated and move me to a similar room next door where the internet and phone works. I accepted the change. But damage have already been done. I ask one of the staff to have the manager call me. A manager call me later in the day and apologize and gave me 10,000 points. I don’t know what those points are for and don’t plan to use it. I assume 10,000 points is worth about $100. Needless to say, I would stick with Four Seasons at that price range.

The junior suite was advertised as ‘with a view’. The ‘view’ was obstructed by buildings! The actual room was adequate. The area is very busy and noisy.

Good location for events at BC Place. Good Yale Town location, walkable and great parks nearby. Not a family hotel. It's a casino resort with many people there to party and get rowdy. No pool is a big negative. Rooftop jacuzzi is nice but was crowded most of the time, with maximum occupancy of only 8 people. Gym is great. Overall, would not recommend for families but would recommend for people looking to party or attend an event at BC Place.

The staff we dealt with were very kind and quick to acknowledge when lineups in the lobby were busy and try to make the wait more comfortable. We loved the Honey Salt restaurant for breakfast, great food and service. The only aspect we didn't love and it's purely personal as it's great for those who do like it, is the casino on the property. Sometimes it felt like when we were entering the lobby to the hotel and it felt like we were entering a club. We generally lean toward a more quiet environment. Also it's right beside BC place and an electronic music festival was on and at times we could hear the bass bumping into our hotel room not to mention the young kids in the room beside us who also felt they needed to play the same music loudly. Otherwise a very pleasant stay, only sharing these notes in case it's info another traveler might want to know depending on their personal preferences.

The room was clean & spacious. However, the service was poor. The first night the hotel hairdryer and it wasn’t working so I called the front desk. 1/2 an hour later I was still waiting. I called down once again and was told my request “was put on a list” but that it would be expedited. 20 mins later and still nothing. I happened to open the door to see if they’d left it outside and saw a staff member and asked her as well. 10 mins later and I was able to finally get the dryer. If I hadn’t seen the staff member I don’t know how long it would have taken. Note that my family and I were going out to dinner so to have an hour delay for something that should have been resolved easily was frustrating. I’ve had to make similar requests at other (much cheaper) hotels and have never experienced such a lag. The next day, we went left the hotel in the morning and got back at around 5pm. Our room hadn’t been serviced yet and we had no towels. I can honestly say I’ve never been to a hotel where by 5pm the room wasnt serviced. I realized that it was likely because they only wanted to service once at turn down (not twice). Interestingly, the rooms in our floor that had the “privacy please” door hangers had a note on them saying “I’m sorry we couldn’t service your room to respect your ask for privacy…”. So the staff clearly visited the floor…they just didn’t service the rooms that actually wanted servicing. If you want to be a higher-end hotel, don’t cut corners. Not worth the $$$ AT ALL.
