Best Western Plus Sands

The hotel was spotless and new. The staff was warm and respectful. It was Great for a 1-day trip with a family 6 well accommodated.

We booked this hotel for two nights before getting on a cruise! It was the best price in the area and was close to Stanley Park. We had our two kids with us, 5 & 3. It was absolutely PERFECT! I was shocked because I wasn’t expecting much. It was in the best location! We ate breakfast just a block away at the red umbrella every morning, and it was so yummy! There was a pizza place right across the street as well as a convenient store and a smoothie place! Honestly, there were so many restaurants around we had so much to choose from! We spent both days at the beach & in the park! The aquarium is amazing and worth it! The second day we rented bikes, right across the street from the hotel and road all over the park! It was my favorite! We even had lunch at the TeaHouse inside the park! It was very beautiful and staff at the restaurant was great with the kids! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Went to the property and was very limited parking which was around the back of rhe property. There ŵere people out back in the parking lot smoking weed wbich was an immediate turn off with 2 children under 2. Tbe property itself looks run down and dirry..o OVERALL FELT UNSAFE FROM THE MOMENT WE PULLED IN. ENDED UP GOING ELSEWHERE. I WANT TO FEEL SAFE WHERE I STAY WITH MY 2 CHILDREN.

I’ve stayed here before, but never had the problem with neighbor noise that I had this time. One night the kids and dogs made noise but shut down at a reasonable time. The next night several Asian people checked it and talked very loudly until at least 11 pm. I had to turn up the tv to hear it AND trying to sleep was almost impossible.

This is somewhere between a hostel and a 2 star motel. Small noisy WINDOW ac right by my face (like 20 inches), single pane windows so you can hear everything from the street, no safe in the room… greed at its best, charging money per night as a normal hotel would. I was froze after sleeping next to the AC and my kids were hot all night.

My family and I were put in a room on the first floor. We were not warned we were above a very noisy bar with live music. We barely slept since the bass didn’t stop until 1:00 am. Even with earplugs in, the room was shaking. This is not a great place for families.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent location, and everything is within a couple of minutes' walking distance. I had my children with me, and they made them feel very comfortable and welcome. I had no issues walking around with my kids, at any time in the area, we felt very safe. Would stay again

Excellent location. Across the street from the beach/Stanley Park. Lots of dining all around. Staff were helpful with good recommendations and assisting me and my family’s requests.

We got the two queen and a sofa bed room. Room was clean and comfy. Also very quiet at night. Need room key to get on elevator so feels safe in a busy area. lots of parking on second level, but just not very convenient to get luggage down. The cribs were travel plagpen without mattress so my kids didn't like them and ended up sleeping with us.
