Mountaineer Lodge

Breakfast was so good! Best we had at the four hotels we stayed at along our trip. The hot tub and steam room were nice, kids missed having a pool but we knew that before we booked. The location is very central and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a double queen room, not in the main building. A bit of a pain to walk across the parking lot in swim suits. The room was nicely renovated with nice decor. Bed was quite comfortable with nice bedding. We would stay here again.

Everything went fine, the family room was much more comfortable and wide then pictures seemed to show. Nice location, only thing in lake Louise it is hard to find anything to eat after a certain hour, but there is a convenience store just across the road with a gas station

We stayed as a family of 5, and were very comfortable. My son loved the all you can eat breakfast

This place is recently renovated and has pretty much everything available in the rooms. Nice place to stay with family.

My family and I had a two night stay booked at the Mountaineer Lodge as we were flying into Calgary on a Friday, and heading to Lake Louise for the weekend. On Friday morning our flight had been cancelled and rescheduled for the following day, meaning we would miss a night in Lake Louise. Even after explaining the whole situation to the hotel, we were quite disappointed that they did not consider allowing us to cancel our room for the Friday evening to receive a refund as it was impossible for us to get there since we were stuck on the other side of the country. I understand that there is a cancellation policy, but due to the circumstances and us already losing out on money, it was discouraging to hear that a refund or even a partial refund was not considered.

I liked it was quiet and clean, the TV setup is odd, the HDMI cable had to be tinkered with for it to work, if traveling with adults may not be a big deal, but with kids, sometimes TV is a great to have.

Pleasant motel style lodge with great location for access to Lake Louise cross country trails and downhill ski area. Breakfast is perfect for our family, quick and right amount before we head out to ski. Staff is always cheerful and willing to help.

Pros- Nice clean updated room with comfortable bed and bedding and staff were super friendly plus a free breakfast with some actual hot food items. Cons- Not perfect for a romantic get away; pool/hot tub area is full of kids right until it closes and like most hotels they will put you right beside other guests even though there are open rooms but I’m sure they would accommodate if you ask for a more private room, also thermostat on the wall seemed to be locked at 68 degrees no matter how high you set it as well as the temperature control for the fridge being removed. Overall not too bad for the price considering the fairmont starts at 600 a night and doesn’t include parking or breakfast, the drive to the lake is just a few minutes. Could use some improvements for couples like maybe a couple hours with no kids in the hot tub area but would be excellent for families and being able to actually control the thermostat would be nice

We had booked the family suite for 2 nights. The room being recently renovated was overall clean and spacious. The customer service was outstanding. However the bathroom cleanliness was disappointing as we had a visibly dirty shower curtain, which they had replaced when asked. Because we booked the room at a higher price point, it is difficult to say that it was worth the price, however if we had booked it for cheaper, it would’ve been worth it as they offer good breakfast options as well as the proximity to lake louise gondola where we opted to take the parks canada shuttle. Some dining options were also available at 2-5min drive from the lodging. Overall, I would come back if I would be able to book it at a lower price.

Every time our family go for our trip. I always look for breakfast inclusion and my teenager kids loved what they had prepared.
