Baker Creek by Basecamp

We booked this property for its proximity to Lake Louise. It was located in a quiet but a little remote area. The tranquility gave us a good sleep. The real wood burning furnace gave us some fun for the evening. Space would probably be good enough for a family of 4, but was a bit tight for us, 2 adult couples. Kitchen was well equipped for us to make our own dinner and breakfast. Overall the stay was comfortable.

This property is a fantastic option for people/families who want to be close to Lake Louise or Banff but be in a unique, more remote area. Highlights for us were the location, beautiful creek side firepits and the attention to detail in the cabins. We loved everything about our stay!

We stayed here for 2 nights and visited Lake Louise. The staff were brilliant during our stay....helpful and informative. The cabins/lodges were immaculate and have everything you needed in a compact and workable kitchen. Bed was very comfortable and shower was lovely and hot. We toasted marshmallows on the firepit which was a highlight for my children. Thank you for having us. x

Beautifully set back in the woods makes this property peaceful and picturesque. The cabins are warm and cozy. The fire pits by the river are a wonderful way to spend time around a fire with family and friends enjoying the scenic views

The cabin we rented for our family was cozy and felt like home. We enjoyed the outdoor walk and ice rink as well. A beautiful property and view.

We absolutely loved our stay at Baker Creek, the cabin was perfect for 5 adults and 1 toddler (would be comfortable with up to 6 adults). It was cozy with the fireplace, two full beds in the lofted area, queen bed downstairs, and a pull out couch if needed. The kitchen had everything we needed for a 4-5 day stay. The front desk was always helpful and the cafe had wonderful breakfast burritos available (was nice having cafe since drive to other restaurants/cafes was about 15minutes each way). Keep in mind there is no service at the cabins and if the wifi goes out you are totally unplugged (we loved this). Larches covering the whole property which was gorgeous!! It’s a perfect location 15min from the park and ride for Lake Louise/Morraine. 40min drive to Banff. 10/10 recommend this location for your visit!!

Our family had a great time playing by the creek, roasting hotdogs, and relaxing after spending time in Banff NP. This is an excellent location near Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, and Bow Creek. The staff was extremely kind. We would definitely come back.

This is a beautiful, hidden gem in the woods alongside a creek. Care is put into amenities including my favourite clean line, Rocky Mountain Soap Company. Freshly ground coffee is provided at the front desk. Thoughtful details in the mini kitchen like wine glasses, dish soap, knives, etc. There are fire pits set up around the grounds, with wood and matches available at the front desk. There is a mini store with snacks, mittens, bear spray, etc which was nice to have but a bit pricey. The restaurant was closed at the time we were there. 15 minute scenic drive to Lake Louise. Opportunities: not sure if the pool was closed for the season or it needed help. Also, the pipes were really loud and we seemed to have a large family with thunder feet above us on our second night: toilet flush after toilet flush rattled through the pipes in the bedroom's open closet.
