Delta Hotels by Marriott Edmonton Centre Suites

This was very convenient as we were going to the Oilers game. The have an accessible room that actually meets our families needs. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Heater wouldn't turn off, it was 27 degrees Celsius in our room all night. Pack of used condoms found on the corner of my kids bed......disgusting, i doubt they even changed the sheets!

I like that the room had two sections and a nice view. I did not like the strong scent in the lobby or that my children got stuck in the elevator on two separate floors which also happened to other patrons.

For a Delta Marriott property, this hotel is not up to par with others or our expectations. We booked and paid for 2 double rooms over a month in advance. Upon arrival, were informed that there was not 2 double rooms available so was “upgraded” to a king room. The rooms were not close to one another. We had small children staying with us who had sleep on the hard couch. Our other room had an adjoining room that was just checked into by another group who were very loud. I asked at the front desk for another set of bedding for the couch and was told they couldn’t help me. I called house keeping several times and could only leave a message. Finally at midnight, called the front desk again and they told me the hotel was out of pillows, housekeeping was off duty and a security guard would bring up 2 blankets they could find. It was New Year’s Eve, the hotel was sold out and only 1 elevator was operational. Maintenance staff were helping by taking guests through the back to use a service elevator. Before we checked out, I asked for delayed checkout by 1 hour so we could eat at the hotel restaurant and was denied our request because housekeeping would be in to both our rooms at 11am to clean. The amenities in both rooms had not been restocked when we checked in, 2 towels only and 1 soap, no coffee or extra bedding. Location was great to walk to Rogers Place but we will certainly choose a different hotel in the area next time. Highly disappointed!!!

To try to stay on a positive note the location was great for when visiting Rogers place. We booked a room with two queen beds and a pullout sofa bed. When we went to put the kids in the pullout there was no extra bedding or pillows. Getting back from a hockey game late we all just crammed into the two queen beds which defeated the purpose of paying extra for the pullout. During the night the furnace in the room clicked the old school bang click to turn on every 15 minutes. Very hard to sleep with that. Then at 6am the alarm went off to wake the entire family up that we did not even set or touch. We were not impressed with this hotel and I have honestly never been this disappointed in one before. It has its perks but I would rather pay more and stay at the JW or pay less, walk a little further and stay at the coast.

Nice enough hotel in a disappointing neighborhood. Might be fine for business or casino/arena, but not families.
