Not sure how I can upload the pictures I took. However I took a whole ton of pictures I emailed to the manager. Cleanliness was disgusting, the room was dirty. The rooms are very dated, I understand vintage. But it the tables were scratched, dirty, chipped, very abused look and very welcoming. The touch up paint done in room on the doors and frames and crown moulding looks like it was done by a toddler with a paint brush. You can tell someone tried but only made it look worse as paint was splattered on the ceiling. The caulking in the bath has visible mold on it, the least they can do is remove it and recaulk it. For $400 an evening I will never stay there again. We stayed in room 617.

A bit disappointed that we reserved river view on our second night. When we arrived after 3PM checkout our room was available (only a king bed was available) but there are 2 adults and 2 kids. They then told us they would upgrade our room and still have river view. But the room is not a River view (still city view, with a peak of the River) and the layout isn’t much different then our first room. They hyped the room up as an upgrade but we didn’t get our River view 😭. So not the best experience.

A stately experience! Our family had two king size rooms with comfortable beds and lots of room to relax. The service in the hotel is exceptional and respectful of privacy. I cannot speak highly enough. The property itself is huge, well-tended, and the views across the river valley are stunning. I highly recommend the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald.

We upgraded to a gold room and so glad we did. The gentleman on floor 7 were amazing at check in and throughout the stay. We’re always so accommodating and great with our kids. Thank you for a great experience

Beautiful hotel, we stayed with our daughters for a competition at the Edmonton convention centre, close walking distance, easy valet parting, remarkable staff. The children loved exploring the property and the old keep sakes they keep around the property. The outside balcony is gorgeous and awesome for photo opportunities, and the inside restaurants are lovely, the sitting area has nice couches for calm social settings, awesome hotel.

My family loved the pool area- sauna, steam room, hot tub, wading pool and swimming pool. The terrace off the Harvest Room gave a stunning view of the river valley. We are all Celiac- we appreciated the gluten free pancakes and vegan smoothie bowl for breakfast! Bacon is delicious!!

Our family had a great time at this hotel! Great service and the pool was fun for the kids. The location is great as well. The only issue was that the air conditioner fan in the room was way too loud when it was turned on.
