Hyatt Place Calgary Airport

When we booked this property it said there was a pool and the pool ended up being closed. The kids were not impressed Then when we checked in we had a very rude and un helpful lady.

Great clean nice rooms. Convenient close to airport but some really bad customer service. Front desk told me upon my first night check in that I could not extend my reservation in the room I was in and then tried to sell me a more expensive room, found the exact same room immediately afterwards on Expedia no extra charge, felt like the front desk was definitely trying to rip me off due to a mass plane cancellation. Had my room key cancelled on second night, spent half an hour trying to re check in to a room I was already in while my family waited in the hallway outside room with all their luggage, had to asked multiple times for them to allow my family back into our room while they figured out their resos malfunction. front desk doesn’t seem to know what’s going on, Asked to leave a key at front desk for pick up a few hours after we had to catch a flight and they couldn’t do that either. Just zero customer service. Day staff on front desk seemed great and much more helpful but late shift was completely incompetent, slow, frustrating and kinda rude. I will be checking my bill as they tried to recharge me for the first night that I paid through Expedia. Unfortunately I won’t stay here ever again, don’t need this kinda aggravation while travelling.

Bathroom door is a slider and was nearly impossible to open and close. Two of us actually got stuck in the bathroom at separate times and had to have another member of our family help us yank the door open from the other side.

Missed our connection and booked this hotel last minute so we didn’t have to sleep in the Calgary airport overnight. Shuttle pickup was fast and easy, hotel clean and comfortable. WestJet also lost all five pieces of luggage for our family and hotel staff was wonderful getting us toothbrushes, etc. and even raided their lost and found for a few jackets so we could get to a shopping center to buy a few things without freezing. Helpful staff, decent breakfast and convenient shuttle.

The bathroom was quite dirty with pink scum around the shower, and when you shower the bathroom turns into one big lake. We were turned away from kitchen service as they were 45mins until close and already started their closing duties. Our A/C nor fan function worked, although trying to message the hotel we were stuck sleeping in 24 degree heat with a 1.5yr old baby - windows don't open. Firm supportive beds with awful pillows - bring your own pillow! Hotel restaurant/bar food was mediocre and small portions considering the significant price. Convenient airport shuttle every 30minutes, and really good continental breakfast. Front desk, Eric, was very helpful for any/all services!

Walls are a bit thin (or the family in the room next to us was particularly loud at 11pm) but everything else was great for an hotel next to Calgary airport.

Booked 3 rooms for our family, since we had an early flight the next day. Great stay, only thing that would make it better if they had a breakfast-to-go option!

The lobby staff were very rude and dismissive. There was insufficient amenities such as towels in the room for a family booking of 5. The shuttle left early and there was no apology or recourse other than having to pay for a taxi to get to the hotel. Booked this hotel for the convenience and airport shuttle. Was definitely disappointed. Would not book again.

Nice, quiet overnight stay for my family. Staff was pleasant and the room was perfect for the four of us.

the staff was very nice and hotel was very clean. pool was under maintainance. my toddler was very disappointed. no convenience stores nearby or gas station or shops. u have to drive like 8-10mins away. parking was A . shower lever was stuck and needs to be fixed. over all this was an ok experience. next time we will book here only if hilton was full.
