Holiday Inn Express & Suites Calgary Airport Trail NE, an IHG Hotel

Honestly, it was "just enough" For a quick stay it has all you need, a bed a shower and a decent breakfast. For a family staying, it doesn't quite accomodate. Very worn bedding. Stained worn towels. And not enough towels to accommodate the pool and guest towels in the room.

Our family stayed here for the first time and will stay here again great waterslide and pool and a great breakfast to start the day room was super clean and quiet location

Had problems getting extra blankets. Water was not hot. Towels were limited and of poor quality. Though advertisements say infant beds and cots are available for free, we could not get one. Ice machine not working… only one elevator in operation.. local swimming lessons happening in the pool during prime family swim hours for guests ..

Booked three rooms for family members.our rooms where across and beside each other so we would go to each other rooms. When opening the door and it closing it would make a loud banging sound and also because of a two year old crying so because of this we where threatened to have the police called on us. No one was having a party it was simply because of us going from room to room. It wasn’t even 10 at night. We where staying there to attend my husbands mothers funeral then to be treated like this. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again

A new hotel which was clean and neat. Door slamming and crying child did wake us up. More insulation between rooms and upper floors would help.

Starting with the longest check in ive ever experienced, it wasn't until I asked if everything was ok with the reservation that the lady on the front desk told me "it was all good, but her system was not working well". It would have been nice for er to communicate that while she saw me stood waiting with three children and luggage. When I asked how long the pool was open for, she informed me there were NO TOWELS at all. Not for showering and not the pool. I said that really isn't acceptable when we booked this hotel for the fact it had a pool and hot tub and not having tools is part of the amenities promised and we weren't informed prior to check in to bring out own towels. She seems to not really be bothered about this. I told her when the towels would be ready, as in when they would be washed and dried, she count answer. She just said they dont have any. I told her that if there weren't any towels available, I would be forming a complaint and expecting a refund of some kind based on the lack of committed amenities and that prohibiting us using the pool, or all of us to shower. When I got to the room, there were only two bath towels. When I called to say we dont even have enough towels to shower, she said "two is the normal amount", I told her that not acceptable when I put in the booking that there is one adult and three children in a two queen room. run out of characters, will email full complaint

Getting a shuttle to and from the airport was not super easy. Nice hotel, and great pool for the kids otherwise.

We had a very short stay here after another hotel booking fell through. The kids enjoyed the pool and waterslide. The breakfast was great. The big negative for us was the checker cab that was the airport shuttle. Since we arrived so late at night the hotel wasn’t running the shuttle and advised that they used a cab service instead. The driver obviously did not like that the Holiday Inn would be paying him and was rude to us, front desk staff and the people in line in front of us who were completing their check in.

Throughout our history of hotel stays, the Holiday Inn has consistently been our preferred choice. We have frequented various locations within the city, and our experiences have always been favorable, until our most recent visit. To say that our last day was an absolute nightmare would be an understatement. Unbelievably, a birthday celebration was taking place on the second floor, precisely where our room was situated. The children in attendance exhibited a complete disregard for proper decorum, as they were boisterous, impolite, and entirely unresponsive to both the hotel staff and anyone who requested their cooperation in maintaining a peaceful environment. The resulting lack of sleep left us utterly defeated and emotionally drained.

The front desk staff ladies weren’t overly pleasant but I could deal with that. What I couldn’t deal with is the dirty room and linens on the beds. They were stained, had stuff crusted on them (2 beds) , and 1 of the beds had short black curly hairs in the sheets. I asked the front staff for new linens but 30 mins later they still weren’t there. My last nerve was hit when the garbage in the bathroom had a large chunk of short black curly hair in…either from a drain or someone shaving a decent amount of hair off. We packed up our 2 young kids and walked out of the hotel. We were only there about 40 mins. Of course since booking through Expedia, we didn’t and won’t get our money back so that is unfortunate but this place was one of the most disgusting hotels ive ever been to.
