Atleast clean kettle in room, rooms are not spacious at all. I do not recommend rooms for families

Was very hard to be taken seriously, as we are not used to this level of patronage. We sure don't blend in, either way, being ignored by front end staff, and being followed by housekeeping staff as if I had snuck in, all inappropriate and demeaning behaviour. This was capped off by a mystery call at 1230 at night to our room from the front desk, woke up both our sons and it took HOURS to get them back sleeping soundly. This was our little family staycation before we are are separated for an unknown amount of time. Really was rather frustrating and disappointing.

I liked mattress so much! Not so hard and not so soft, right in the middle. I didn't like AC system, i put it on 18 C but it never reached that temp. I didn't like soft, small and hot pillows. I prefer larger, more stiffer and cooler pillows that don't warm up that quick. I didn't like TV, i wanted to view some family pictures on it but there was no Source button to change input to HDMI, disappointed...

I liked that Starbucks and The Keg were inside the Hotel so that was convenient. I didn’t like that there were no ramps or automatic doors so people with wheelchairs and families like mind who have young kids in strollers can’t get to places easily. We had to take our kids out of the stroller, carry them up or down the stairs, followed by their stroller. Food in Essence Bistro was nothing special. We paid extra to have continental breakfast there when we should have just gone down the street to eat at OEB Restaurant. Although the staff at the bistro were quick to greet us and take our orders.

Great place to stay with the family for a short trip. Awesome staff and very clean. Close to all locations downtown.
