The property itself is very nice and the rooms are great, unfortunately, yet another city where the government lets homeless people run rampant in their tourist or downtown area. There are things that kids should not be exposed to

Service was exceptional; hotel lacks amenities for families. Filtered water not in room, like other downtown hotels, doors into hotel not ideal for those with strollers. Sometimes handicap buttons worked, other times not. The sinks were not conducive to washing a small baby, unlike many hotels. No bathtub to wash children in either. Lighting in room was poor. Ideal to those on business, not family trips, doing work in the day, unwinding at night.

We chose Le Germain to stay for the evening as we celebrated our anniversary. The proximity to our dinner reservations couldn’t get any closer (directly across the street)! When we checked in, the lady at the desk upgraded us to a beautiful corner room to make our stay extra special. The room was large, clean and quiet. We had a great view. Wonderful shower, the best bathrobes out there, and comfortable bed and pillows. I would happily stay there again, and will recommend them to friends and family. Side note: I tried to find their bathrobes online to buy, only to find out the sell their bedding, pillows, towels etc! Unfortunately they do not sell the robes.

I booked bed and breakfast at Le Germain Calgary. When we arrived we were informed that only when booked directly with the hotel can you have bed and breakfast. Considering we paid £232 and chose bed and breakfast I expected it to be provided. The room had a badly frayed carpet between the bedroom and bathroom, very cheap quality toilet paper and the seal on the shower door was hanging off. The sink was an odd shaped elongated almost kidney shape with no plug. It didn't hold the water as it splashed all over the wooden unit on which it sat.

Our stay was amazing! The location was perfect to everything we did. We were there for a wedding with family.
