Loved our stay, breakfast at Eva’s was great!! Only downfall was the fire false alarm in the middle of the night .. thankfully we had a good giggle with the kids and everyone went back to sleep stress free

The hotel staff seem very disorganised and poorly managed as they weren’t able to check me in upon entry at 2pm (check in is at 2pm). I waited in the foyer for an hour and half to be checked in, with staff asking me to approach the front desk each half an hour to see if the room was ready. Noting I had to stand in extended queues 4 times with two little children just to be told my room wasn’t ready yet. Finally when the room was ready, I got told they would bring my bags up to the room. I had to chase them up half an hour afterwards just to get my bags. When calling the concierge during my stay I noticed the phone was unattended and took multiple attempts to get a response. The restaurant seemed under staffed and the staff on seemed flustered and rushed to get patrons served with little to no service quality at breakfast time.

The staff were pleasant, the facilities were clean but the bathroom amenities were watered down, the room service food was terrible and there was no deadbolt or safety latch on the room door. Not suitable for kids.

The hotel is clean, stylish and the rooms large and comfortable. Perfectly located off Bourke street mall and chinatown and hardwicke lane eats. Only issue was parking one block down the street, inconvenient with luggage and children. The car park lifts were broken and 5 flights trek was not fun. Surely a carpark on swanston st would be more cutomer friendly. Not an issue if you don't use your car for the duration of your stay.
