All staff were very accomodating to our needs with a little baby and were so helpful and generous.

Central location good amenities.ideal for family and business.

Location is great, with lovely river views from the balcony. Rooms are a great size for families and clean, but due for renovation. Very convenient location for Crown, Exhibition Centre, Aquarium etc.

The Clarion Suites is a bit of a find in Melbourne. Sure the the decor is a bit old-fashioned and a little tired, but space you get and the quiet location are unparalleled. The staff were great, there is parking on site and it would be ideal for a family or a larger group.

The staff were overall great. The hotel is very old and run down. The room we stayed in on Level 5 was very uncomfortable. We had a baby with us and there was a loud vibrating noise all day and night! Sounded like a loud air conditioning unit. The staff offered to relocate us, but they never followed up on this. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again and would recommend it.

Our family of six had a wonderful stay at Clarion Suites Gateway. We had a two bedroom which was incredibly spacious. We had river views, and the kids loved watching the teams and trains. Short walk to Crown and Southbank. Staff very friendly and professional, with 24hr reception. Very clean. Indoor lap pool, temperature a little on the cooler side, but I presume that’s to accomodate more serious lap swimmers. We paid for the car park which was very convenient but definitely not designed for large vehicles. This will become our go to for City stays.

It's our second stay at the Clarion Gateway. It was clean, spacious, the indoor pool was a must with kids. It is close to the tram to get around the city. The staff was very efficient and friendly.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. It was spacious and a great setup for our family. The floor however appeared to be dirty and same with the shower and the vent above the bath. I raised my concerns and the front desk advised they would rectify. The other concern was we left a bag of shoes in the room and only realised when we arrived home. We raised this with the front office manager whom investigated however it appears they couldn’t be found. We Are referring to over $400 with of shoes. We have gone over and over where the shoes could be and how we packed our car and they could have only been left in our room so this has left us very disappointed. We have been looking for a place to stay frequently as we need to be in Melbourne quite a bit but now unsure if we will return.

Great location in CBD, lots of transport options nearby in addition to secured paid parking. Rooms were clean, comfortable & spacious (had a 1 bedroom suite) - great for our family (2 adults, 2 young kids). The staff were friendly. Only downsides - facilities are a bit old/dated feeling, dining facilities were closed at time of our visit, & no gym on site.

This property is as central as it gets, right near crown, sea life, walking distance to Southern cross and Flinders street, has a great pool for kids, lots of local dining options, and good parking access
