We love staying at the Amora when we travel to Brisbane. Unfortunately this time the service and staff weren't up to the 4 star rating. We asked for a blanket for our child after trying to ring concierge, housekeeping, room service at 9.30pm and no answer. We had to walk to reception and waited to talk to someone to still not receive the blanket until we spoke to the cleaners the next morning and they were very helpful!! The next night we were at the bar and ordered drinks, it took 45mins for 1 cocktail!!! There was only 1 bar staff preparing drinks for approx 30 people and it still took way too long!! When we asked how long it might be we were offered some more drinks and they were apologetic, but the drinks we ordered (cider) was out of date, flat and was told it was the last one they had in the cellar so was warm and they gave me a glass of ice to cool it down. Eventually, when the cocktail I ordered arrived, it was missing the main ingredient that was in the menu. I questioned it and all they did was apologise and in their words - " you are right the drink doesnt have sheepdog in it". So that was 2 drinks that were not drinkable. Our party of 4 left extremely disappointed. We are not sure we will be back next year. Its very disappointing for a hotel that states they are a 4 star hotel..

Absolutely wonderful stay with our family, we are from the country and this hotel was perfect for an experience as life in the city, just a few streets walk away from queen street mall, had a pool and gym, definitely worth the visit if you’d like to stay in the centre of the city, we visited Southbank aswell. Great stay, thank you Jordan for arranging our parking whilst our stay!

We stayed for a sporting weekend with 2 kids. Firstly the price to stay there was very high compared to their usual pricing (price hiking for events should be banned) Secondly, the hotel was fully booked but ona positive note, we didn't have any problems with noise at all! The only negatives were - The room for 4 people only had a bathroom sink to fill a kettle (not nice). The buffet breakfast was overpriced with limited space to dine and limited food available. We ended up going to local Cafés in the Spring Hill area. The hotel was being renovated so with the hotel being fully booked there were long waits for the lifts. When we got back around 9.30pm most nights the only option was room service but we wanted to sit in the bar area with friends and their family but we were told they were closed. Hopefully when we return the renovations will have finished. Finally, we will say that the staff were always friendly and helpful.

Last minute booking in the city with ny two kids and partner, Great customer service, kind, genuine and helpful, room was perfect for a relaxed vibe for my family's last night in the city, black out curtains, 24hour room service, food that we ordered was good and reasonably quick, comfortable beds, will definitely stay here again!

although not quite close to the water edge, Amora is still in a convenient location for those who are ok with walking for a bit and don't mind exploring. The person who first greeted us was not necessarily welcoming and seemed unable to understand what we were asking; as a VIP member I wanted only to clarify what was included and requesting parking facilities; she was unable to quickly escalated and called in the manager to address us. This felt unnecessary and my family and I felt very awkward

I requested an early check in the day before so our one year old could keep her midday nap, the staff had this all ready for us with no problems even though it was a busy time of year. Restaurant wasn’t open for dinner but you can have the full menu from the lounge/ bar which is kid friendly.

I wish wotif made it stand out more that the pool was closed for renovations- it didn't grab my attention and I had 2 very disappointed children

My 5 year old and 65 year old mother stayed with me on a 2 night stay. We all loved it. Best things were the large pool, great kids corner near the bar, friendly staff and good food. Beds were super comfortable too. I also found the a/c wasn't noisy like a lot of hotels. The room was a little small for all of us but we had 2 double beds in the room so it was to be expected. No complaints. Would stay again, very good value for money.
