At check in the staff member that served me wasn't very helpful at all. I booked 2 double balcony rooms and was informed at check in that my rooms were on seperate floors which is absolutely ridiculous when travelling with my wife and 4 children. I requested adjoining rooms and made my booking 5 days before arrival. I said that wasnt good enough so she changed it so we were on the same floor but on opposite sides of the building and i paid for 2 rooms with a balcony and only got 1 room with a balcony but was still charged for 2 balcony rooms which was absolutely ridiculous and i can assure you i will never stay at the amora jamison with my family ever again

Location is good and gentleman at the door/concierge desk were welcoming and friendly.
The buffet breakfast was good value.
The beds were hard as rock we woke up very sore even the kids did which says alot. Front desk staff upon arrival werent very helpful we werent directed properly to our rooms, had no idea where anything was and would have liked to know about the bar and happy hour available. Parking is terrible and costs a fortune on top of an already $400 night stay. The room TV was crap couldnt adjust the volume and had to pay $30 extra for anything more than free to air TV. The bath would take approximately 2 business days to fill up if you wanted to wait water pressure for this was also crap. When i tried calling the service desk from our room phone i was instead connected to another room where a guest answered. Overall for the price id probably stay elsewhere.

Incredibly disappointed at our stay at Amora for Christmas night. Upon arrival, the front reception couldn’t use my anz card (some issue on their end not mine) which was a hassle and the lady behind the counter didn’t seem to have a clue what was going on? We had booked a high level room and at over $700 for a night we were expecting luxury, this is not unfortunately what we received. The lift itself had the fasted closing doors we had ever encountered, which was terrifying with our baby in her pram accompanying us. There had obviously been some sort of water leakage on our carpeted high floor, as some sort of very loud low box blower/fan was continuously blowing moist stinky damp air under the hallway carpet (blowing it up like a balloon!) for our entire stay right near the door to our room. The room itself was disappointing. Door was incredibly heavy and seemed to open only 1/2 way? making it near impossible to get luggage and pram inside in any orderly manner. The room immediately gave off a dated 70s vibe, which was not what I was expecting based on the photos online. The walls had old varnished wooden panels and had smudged finger prints all over them! The high floor view was a park glimpse at best and rather the high level view consisted of two very dirty large glass windows looking straight into TWO ugly office skyrise buildings! Yuck. No toothbrush/paste. Small hole in bathroom ceiling filled with loo paper!!!

The hotel is in a convenient location for exploring the city but a lot of the spaces are tired and need a refurb. Given the proximity to nearby office blocks there is limited privacy in rooms on lower floors (even on floor 17!)
I appreciate that it was holiday season but parents/grandparents let their children run a riot in the pool area and had no considerable for other guests.
This would ve okay for a business traveller, but there's a lot nicer hotels within the vicinity if you're looking for sometime special.

Very happy - great 5 night stay with our 2 kids for the NRL Grand Final. The staff were so attentive and responded to every request quickly. Our room was made up perfectly each day with toiletry items replaced. Close walking distance to Sydney Harbour and all public transport, shopping mall just 2 min walk with lost of food options. The pool and spa, sauna and steam room were a nice relaxing space to hang out with the kids are a long day of sightseeing. We will be back - Next time I will be booking a treatment at the onsite dayspa on Level 3. Thank you Amora - we highly recommend for value for money close to everything stay with family!

The Amora Jamison protect paedophiles they think it’s okay for guest to take photographs of other young children. And when the police are contact, do nothing to handover the CCTV bridge of the guest that was caught taking photos.

An elderly man photographed my children in the pool along with other children. We notified the front desk to call the police they told us it’s not their protocol to contact the police. They promised us the next morning. They would bring in the security team to go through the CCTV footage for us to then give to the police. The next day no security team was brought in and the police could not obtain the CCTV footage. They told the police the next day it will be done. The following day the security team was conveniently sick and could not give the footage to the police on checkout I complained about the situation again and how nothing has been done to help our children be protected from a paedophile who thinks it’s okay to take photos of children in the pool and their bathing suits. We also learnt on check out that it happened two times before our incident, so two times have been reported taking photos and yet the staff done nothing about this paedophile , so if you have small children and plan on staying at the amora think again and he’s not safe for children as they, they believe it’s okay to be a paedophile.

Whilst we enjoyed our stay i found that i am not used to just a double bed in a 5 star hotel. We ( grandparents travelling with an 8 year old and 9 year old ) . We had a double double room , the kids stayed for free which was great but the beds where too small and soft.

Fantastic hotel for a Sydney staycation.
Very short walk to The Rocks and few minutes away from Wynyard station. Very easy to get around the city.
Pool area was great, kids loved it.
Friendly service , we were allowed to check in early as the room was ready which was helpful as we had tickets booked to attend the theatre and we were able to leave our belongings in the room.
Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel stay. Nice big bedroom. Lovely staff downstairs and we were given early check in which was a relief.
Beds were very soft. I didn’t mind but my husband struggled. Spa pool was very dated and small, which was helped by a large family taking over the pool which was meant for adults to relax in! Gym facilities pretty average but at least they were there.
