Tung Trang Hotel

Comfortable family hotel in quiet street of Old Quarter. Staff very pleasant and welcoming. Good price with breakfast included. Bit hard to find initially as down small side street .

I recently stayed here for 3 nights - the family who own the hotel are so lovely. The hotel itself is down a quiet but safe alleyway, within walking distance of everything in the Old Quarter but far enough away from the busy streets to get a peaceful night’s sleep. Although the room I stayed in (the cheapest) was super small, it was fine for me being on my own. If you’re booking for two people, I’d go for one of the larger rooms. The bed was one of the comfiest I’ve ever stayed in and so large too. The room has both air con and fan to help keep the room cool in the hot Singapore weather. The bathroom was very small and smelt a little of drains. I think this is sometimes unavoidable in Hanoi. Because of the size of the room, there’s no separate shower cubicle so it’s more of a wet room. The larger rooms will probably have bigger bathrooms. One of the best things about this hotel is the varied breakfast selection. You will not leave breakfast hungry :-) Overall I had a great stay at Tung Trang and although the room was small, it was very, very affordable for the location.

Tung Trang is a small familydriven hotel. It has been our home traveling around in northeren Vietnam coming back to Hanoi to the hotel everytime. They have helped us with everything from showers between trips, keeping luggage to booking trips around. The room was great, the neighbourhood is the best in Hanoi and its located in an backalley where it is very silent at night.

Nice family run hotel right in the middle of the Old Quarter. Very friendly staff, great breakfast options, and in a nice ally away from the busy streets. The room was small, but otherwise great for budget hotel.

Had a really good stay here. Lots of amenities provided. The family running the hotel is super friendly. Rooms are cleaned daily. Water restocked daily. Breakfast is delicious with variety. Location walkable to many of the sites. The only little thing I would've liked is a sheet for my bed. And my bed smelled funny. Other than that, everything ws great.

Wonderful family atmosphere. this was my home away from home.

Very lovely modern small hotel. The rooms are very clean and well-equiped. The train booking service is superb. Thanks again for the patience for several emails. The common area can be a bit improved by separating the area used by guests and by the hotel family. The hotel is a bit hard to find as it is located in a small alley. By late night arrival it is great with their pick up service (18 USD).
