Hanoi La Castela Hotel

How many times do you leave a hotel and feel like you're leaving behind your good friends? The La Castela left us feeling like that. From the moment we walked in the door, we were welcomed like family by Tommy, the hotel manager, and the rest of the staff. The rooms are well apportioned, spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and wonderful spread of complementary snacks. The rest of the hotel is very well maintained. The breakfast is wonderful, and my entire family enjoyed our morning meals with the hospitality of the staff. The price was very reasonable and the location was excellent. But it is the staff that sets this hotel apart. They were extremely attentive to our every need, willing to go out of the way to make our stay feel as if we were at home. They took the time to explain the nearby sites, offers guidance, discussed prices, and were very helpful. The entire staff were able to address us by name throughout our stay, and that is just a testament to their dedication to service. Both my wife and mother-in-law speak Vietnamese fluently, but they also appreciated the help and guidance as we were not familiar with Hanoi. They were immediately responsive to any requests, and I cannot simply imagine anything that could have been improved about our stay. If we return to Hanoi, this is where we will always stay.
