Meritel Hanoi

My stay at Meritel was fantastic and the experience and service i felt and received was warm and caring. Thank you for making my stay the best it could be. All the staff were friendly and amazing too. When I visit Hanoi in the future I will be sure to stay here again! Will also recommend to my family and friends. The hotel is grand and ornate. Welcome drink and fresh fruit when you check in. The staff ask about your day and do the very most to accommodate your needs. Hanoi is always awake but the hustle and bustle does not seep into the hotel which remains quiet and classy, ensuring a peaceful and relaxed stay.

Lovely property, does have tiny bugs everywhere. Not sure if they were the source of our bites or not. But beware of the ‘Family Suite’ scam. They oversell those desirable rooms then spin a line when you arrive about a ‘family with a sick child who had to extend in your room’ and then offer you measly vouchers for their expensive food and beverage in exchange. We believed them at first, until we met other families who were told the same. It really does affect your holiday when your family is separated and your kids are in a separate room up the hall. Only book if you are OK with individual rooms. Great location.

I had a wedding and encouraged a great deal of my friends and family to book through this hotel. Hung, who is the person who helped me book activities outside of our hotel, went above and beyond what I expected. Very grateful to all his support as well as the staff who helped along the way! I do have a few gripes: 1. our bathroom has a window to the hallway... what is the point of that other than creating anxiety and allowing people on the outside to hear our business. Really despised this, a lot! 2. The pool closes too early. 8pm 3. Breakfast there is mediocre compared to other hotels i went to. All things considered, i'd absolutely recommend this hotel. Just please avoid getting our room... that window is just disturbing in every way! haha

Everything was just “ok” until the night before checkout I went to review my hotel bill and there were other charges on the bill from some other guest and the staff was very rude and argumentative. They finally said ok no worries and the next day the next shift started interrogation of my family. To hell with Meritel

Elegant new hotel conveniently located in old quarters within a short walk to all major attractions and recommended dining place. Our family received the warm hospitality of the hotel staff and highly recommend this hotel.
