The people were nice and it’s a cute place and the gym is excellent, but I’m not sure how they came up with a 4-star rating. The water in the shower took 7 minutes to get hot (yes we timed it) and the faucet didn’t work right. Mattress and bedding wasn’t exactly 4-star worthy. The balcony is shared like a motel so there’s really nothing stopping people from looking in your window even if you’re on the third floor. The indoor hot tub is tiny, was luke warm, and the jets apparently didn’t work. There is only one smaller outdoor hot tub and there’s nothing stopping a bunch of kids from hogging it even later at night. Usually had to scan our key card several times to get the door to unlock. The dining room is kind of in a hallway and walking through there is the only way to get back to your room from the hot tubs, so you literally potentially walk right by people in a sport coat having dinner while in wet swimsuits and a robe. Breakfast buffet is good but crazy overpriced and nothing really special, I mean it’s nowhere near as good as Union Station in St. Louis yet it costs quite a bit more. That place is. 4-star hotel, just not comparable. If this were priced right and advertisements wasn’t misleading I’d have no problem with staying here but $3,300+ from Tuesday through Sunday with severely overpriced drinks and food didn’t set too well, I feel ripped off. The Grand Lodge in Breckenridge makes this place look laughable and ghetto in several ways.

This hotel needs a refurb. Rooms smell, carpets look worn, we had 2 rooms which were 2 floors apart despite my asking for them to be close due to our children (and the hotel seemed pretty empty). The air con in one room did not work, you could hear people in the rooms around us. Hotel check in was fine but unhelpful in terms of restaurant recommendations. Pool was ok but it needed a refresh. Glass doors going between the pools were cloudy. Overall the pictures look a lot nicer than what it was really like. I know we paid for the location, so we still enjoyed our stay.

It was a very nice place with large enough room for a family of 4 (2 of which are teenagers). The amenities were very nice even though we did not really get to utilize them fully.

Only got to spend 1 night. Wish we could have enjoyed more time there. Great adventure program for kids and family and close to gondola rides up for a tasty meal. Didn't have our swim suits but pool area was very inviting. And the free evening appetizers were the best along with the cozy room with fireplace and bar where they were served. Great way to end our trip home from Yellowstone.

My family took a trip out west which included tent camping. We wanted to end our trip with comfort, so we booked a Premium room for 2 nights at the Snake River. Great Facility/Terrible Staff: When we arrived, we pulled into the valet parking lane in front of the hotel. The valet told us to park the car across street. While I was parking the car my wife was being told that we will be charged an additional $27 a night as a pool/spa fee. We were also told that there would be a $50* hold per night for amenities (*see final paragraph). Then there was confusion on the part of the staff at the front desk. Although we paid for a premium room for 2 nights, they insisted that they had us for a 1 night reservation in a standard room. I showed them my confirmation number from Expedia. It meant nothing to them. After a long discussion with the front desk, we were getting nowhere. We took the standard room with hope that I could speak with more knowledgeable staff in the morning. The next day, we were moved to the premium room. We had a 20 hour drive ahead of us. Before we checked out at 4:00 am, my wife checked our bank statement online. She noticed that the hotel put a $1000 hold on our account, in addition to the $700 we already paid for the rooms. We were told that they couldn't waive the hold until we checked out. Of course, their system was down. (Many phone calls) We have been home for 2 days, and still trying to resolve their error at our expense!

Everything about this hotel was great. We enjoyed the rooms, beds were very comfortable, bathroom was very nice. We ate breakfast everyday at the hotel which the kids loved, but ate lunch and dinner in Jackson. The ski valet was so convenient and the lifts were right up the stairs and after skiing all day the kids loved swimming in the pool and relaxing in the hot tubs. Great place can't wait to stay again.

The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. My only complaint is noise. You can hear conversations from the hallway as though they are happening right there in the room with you. I also I highly recommend that you request a room that is NOT near the pool entrance (i.e. Rm 112 - 120-ish); I like kids, but the piercing shrieks of children coming from the pool was a real test of my patience. (I was in the room immediately next to the pool entrance.) Other than noise, I really liked the room itself, and the staff is very friendly. I'd stay there again (after all, this was my second time at the Snake River Lodge), but I'll request a different room!
