Fairfield Inn & Suites Afton Star Valley

Front desk staff were very nice and accommodating. They are the same staff that deals with the breakfast in the morning. When we got to the room, we noticed that the bathroom seemed to not be cleaned very well. Then we found what looked to be crumbs in the bed, under the comforter. Spoke with the front desk about the problems and they immediately moved us to a different room. The pool area was nice. Hot tub felt great after the long drive to get there. The pool was a little too cold for my liking, but my kids loved it. The breakfast was delicious. Good variety of foods and drinks. Easy grab-n-go foods like fruits and yogurt, cereals, oatmeal, eggs, meats, and make yourself waffles. We stayed for 2 nights and had issues with the fitted sheet and mattress cover continuously coming off the corners of the mattress. We also had a problem with the shower curtain. The curtains inner lining was missing some buttons to secure it to the outer curtain. They tried their best to make it work, but it was too short to cover both front and back of the shower so we had a lot of water finding it’s way onto the floor. Neither of these made our stay bad, it was just an annoyance to deal with. If we are out that way again, we will definitely stay there. Our stay was comfortable and quiet.

I had stayed a few weeks earlier because it was the only place available on my previous visit. I enjoyed staying there so much, that I changed hotels so my family could stay at this hotel. We had a few issues with our door lock, but they changed our room and were very accommodating. The breakfast was an excellent amenity and had a variety of choices. The beds were very comfortable. Even though the pool area is small, it was great when you had it to yourself. We will stay here again the next time we are in Afton.

My whole reason for staying at this particular hotel was for the pool and hot tub and it was closed for maintenance. I could have saved the money and stayed with family had I known that before booking. Also, the tv was super glitchy and the room was really really warm so I spent the majority of the night uncomfortable with nothing to even watch. Just a super disappointing waste.
