Holiday Inn Stevens Point - Convention Ctr, an IHG Hotel

Excellent staff. Super helpful and went out of their way to support me and my family as we were staying there as a group for my mom’s memorial.

The customer service was excellent! The gentleman who we interacted with the whole time, was extremely nice and personable! The only reason I gave this hotel 4stars instead of 5, was that we were under the impression that the hotel had a hot tub in the pool area (which a lot of times dictates where we stay). Sounds very small- but we don’t get the chance to relax often, we are contractors, so a hot tub is always 1st on our list. Also- we felt that there should have been a cut-off time where it’s “adults only” In the pool area. Again- very minor, just a suggestion. It’s hard to just chill when there are a ton of kids(rightfully so having fun), and no adult telling them to calm it down a bit. Hotel room was clean- just minor things like dust and non-working remotes. We enjoyed it, and would suggest it to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We brought our kids and their friends to spend the night for their birthday party and the pools slide was closed off and they no longer have a hot tub. These were the two things our kids were looking forward to doing. I wish i would have known this prior to booking.

The room was clean and quiet and there was ample parking. The small pool area was nice, especially for younger kids (under 12) although one of the life guards was a no show for Sat morning, had we brought the kids along, I would have been very disappointed as the slide was only open on a limited basis. The bar prices were quite pricey and the breakfast was very good although it was a limited menu. The overall rating was only a 4 due to the cost of the room.

A terrible night stay. Came back to town for my sister's wedding, and wished I had not booked the Holiday Inn. The shelf in the shower was broke off and laying next to the sink. Went down to the hot tub, and there was a pizza party in the pool area. Pepperoni laying on the floor. A kid didn't want to leave the party to go to the bathroom, so he came into the hot tub and stood on the steps and relieved himself. His parents stood there and watched. I am not sure where hotel policies changed about food and drinks by the pool area! I will never stay in a Holiday Inn, even if it was FREE.

The hotel was beautiful and clean, the front desk , bar and restaurant employees were all very friendly. My only complaint is the amount of chlorine in the hot tub. That coupled with the fact that when you did use the pool area, it was taken over by kids.
