Comfort Inn Rhinelander

I was not able to complete my stay because of a death in the family. Everyone was so helpful in helping us return home with very little stress.

Clean, comfortable, convenient. Only thing we didn't like was the family next to us kept banging their door until almost 11 p.m.

When we arrived, the room was never cleaned! Both beds had hair in the sheets, & the blanket covers were covered in spots so they were not changed from the last users! The carpet was not vacuumed. Coffee was spilled on the desk next to the coffee machine. The bathroom dirty, especially the toilet that was covered in hair, urine & poop! The desk clerk was great. She cleaned the room since the only other one left was a long walk away and I am handicapped so that would not work since we were staying 4 nights and it was pre-paid so we didn't have to pay a higher price. Then, after 3 nights the remote for the TV stopped working! And they could not get it to work or replace it with one that worked! So we had no TV for the last day & a half! I asked for a discount when checking out & they refused. Said I used Expedia, so I needed to talk to them! I did NOT use Expedia I used Hotels.com and I told her that. She just said, "That's what my computer says, so I have to go by that. There is nothing I can do. Go back to Expedia". I also have to add that we paid more than twice the amount for this "No Frills" room in Rhinelander than we EVER have staying in this town previously! And we have been coming here for over 40 years since this is our family's home town! There was a lot going on in town and not a lot of rooms left. But I would never stay at this Comfort Inn again!

Blood on towels in bathroom, ear rings that were not my kids, socks that were not ours on the floor and hair ties around the room that were not ours. House keeping completely dropped the ball.
