We were impressed with everything except the breakfast the first morning. I understand that there was another group with lots of kids but the person who was supposed to refill was not even trying to keep up and most everything was empty. We ended up driving thru Starbucks before our conference.

The young gal that was working the breakfast area did a great job keeping things filled. There were so many little kids eating before a wrestling meet and she kept everyone happy!

The pool area was crowded and there were not enough chairs for parents to watch kids swim

The only complaint i have is they open the pool to the public and it was filled with probably 25 kids. Just made for a leas relaxing atmosphere

Stayed in room 127 in the new section, Great room, size was perfect for my family. Only complaints are internet was very weak with very little signal. Female older clerk in late afternoon/evening as very rude and offered little help with our concern. She seemed to be bothered when we went to the front desk.

Travelled to Merrill for a family event. Hotel was very nice and comfortable. Nice pool and hot tub. Free continental breakfast. Staff was very nice and accommodating

I don’t know what to say…. the front desk employees are rude and lazy, especially the older lady that works there. they treat 9 out of ten people like crap and never around when you really need them, always in the break room eating. one of the cleaning staff told my mother in law to go stay at the hotel around the corner and see how dirty it is after she asked for her bed sheets to be changed and weren’t. she proved to them that they weren’t……. every time my family and i turned around it was something. breakfast was always short on food and things were always empty, I would tell the front desk and they would respond by saying sorry we were busy….. I am surprised that the owner still has them employed there. The owner seems to really care about the hotel or at least the reviews of the hotel be he came in on day and called my wife and I down to talk about a review I left at check in. I felt like I was being called to the office to be scolded. I rented 2 rooms for 1 week and I will never stay at the American again. The place needs better people working there.my family and I were there for a family emergency, we had to drive 23 hrs to be there just to be treated like crap by the staff, I was made to feel so uncomfortable. people should treat customers better, you never know what you’re customers are going through. I didn’t want to say anything else but maybe if the owner really cared he would hire better people, or do the job himself. he should read all reviews and realize🙁
