Holiday Inn Express & Suites Parkersburg-Mineral Wells, an IHG Hotel

When I went to check my party of 7 in 2 suites, it was only showing where there was 1 reserved with 1 guest. After some time and me finally asking the front desk worker if the other room was saved under the name of the adult that I put down that was going to be in the other room.....was we finally able to get it worked out. It took forever. Then there was a massive storm that knocked out the power from 9:30pm until a little after midnight. Then the power went off two more times after that briefly. The rooms got so got and stuffy quickly. The only lights were emergency lights in the hallway and they wasn't enough. There were some noisy scared guests freaking out outside our rooms. We wasn't able to get any sleep that night because of the stuffiness of the rooms and noise made our kiddos uneasy. The hotel itself was beautiful, the extras were nice, but the only flaws are lack of ventilation and the hotel needs more emergency lighting in the hallways.

The stay was great. Room was nice. Buffet was really good. Staff was on point with everything so nice and friendly. Only down fall was not enough towels in our room for showers with such a big family but not their fault.

The hotel itself is a nice hotel. It is clean, staff is mostly friendly and they have a nice breakfast. Our problem was they put us in room #124, right next to the lobby/breakfast area/elevator and ice machine. It was noisy inside until after 11 PM. At 1:15 AM a group of boys who were there for a baseball tournament decided to play football right outside our room. They were so loud that they woke us up. We attempted to call the desk and got no answer. After a half hour we went to the desk and asked them to ask the kids to quiet down. We did not get much sleep that night. That room should not be a guest room!

Staff member at check-in was very friendly and courteous. Staff in evening was helpful and willing to brew us more coffee which was much appreciated. Great start to our family vacation. Hotel is clean.Beds comfy. Room a bit to small for 7 adults. Maybe if some of us were children it would be ok but manageable size regardless.Pool just right size and hot tube is wonderful after a long drive. Great place to stay and priced well.

Great for a night with my family!

Stayed for 1 night with my family after reserving a room the day previously. Highly recommend. Nice pool and decent hot tub (perfect after hiking all day in Hocking State Park) Great breakfast! Great service! Great check-in process! No need to pack shower toiletries. Quite happy with our stay.

Very friendly staff, clean all around, nice pool open 24 hours, excellent breakfast. The only thing I would change is that the beds were far too firm for myself and my family.

Our stay was amazing. The lady that checked me in was very friendly and helpful. I asked for an accomodation and they granted it and it was already in the system when I got there. Pool and hot tub was a plus traveling with the kids. Breakfast was good, a lot of choices and the lady serving it had gifts for the kids, that she bought herself ❤️ definitely brightened my kids day!

Everyone here was so nice and accommodating. We arrived late and had 2 small children. The front desk staff provided us with chocolate milk and snacks. Would definitely come back here.
