Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Beckley, an IHG Hotel

Hotel is very nice. Staff were very friendly. We were a little disappointed in how come the indoor pool temperature was. We had hoped to let the kids get tired in the pool before bed but it was so cold they were blue lipped and shivering in August inside

Our room was not ready on time but the staff was amazing and let me take my kids to the pool while we waited. Very nice.

Autumn was very helpful and efficient during our check in after a long car ride from Canada! We appreciated her pleasant nature and knowledge. The suite was large, clean and nicely laid out for our family’s overnight stay. The only disappointment…. Signs stated the Holiday Inn is a smoke free hotel yet there was an overwhelming smoke odour lingering in the hallway. Otherwise great stay, free breakfast and lovely staff. Thanks very much!

We had to evacuate the building on our second night because of an alarm that went off. This was around 1 o’clock in the morning and we were startle from sleep. We had to leave the building and went to our car and it was 30 degrees and snowing. Come to find out someone was smoking in the room. The second night that we stayed there was someone with the children directly above our room. They stomped around on the floor until late into the morning. We could hear just about every move, they made. I would suggest when scheduling rooms that they look where they place people with children. They certainly should not be on a top floor if they’re going to be rambunctious. The meals were wonderful. The waitress was super. Breakfast was absolutely the best we’ve ever had at a restaurant. Kudos to your kitchen staff

Pros: 1. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant in the hotel. The food was good and kids eat free, which was nice to save a little money. 2. Staff was friendly. 3. The pool area is nice looking and great size. 4. Rooms were big and had two supérate rooms, one having a sofa bed with its own tv. Cons 1. The bed doesn’t fit the bed frame, so pieces of the bed frame sticks out the side. I fought my foot on one of them and later on I scrapped my leg on it getting out of bed. The scrap was bad enough that it was bleeding. I’m not sure why you put frames in a room where pieces stick out the side. I’m thankful none of my kids caught them. 2. The pool was freezing. We saw penguins swim by as we were trying to get the courage to walk into the water past out ankles. At one point I saw a polar bear plunge in. 3. The hot tub was Luke warm at best. If you could put the hot tub water with the same temperature into the pool, the pool would have been perfect. I was getting cold in the hot tub and got out to warm up.

Nice & clean suites for a couple or family with a separate living area from the main bed room. Good breakfast and dinning available in the building and a grocery is within a mile. Friendly staff.

One of the queen beds we booked was soaked with urine. The staff didn't find us another room or hotel, and had no sympathy, so we were left with 2 children to find other accommodations at 8pm at night. Will never EVER stay there again.

Nice beds, quiet even with a lot of children around traveling for the holidays. Restaurant was good too. Id stay there again

I liked the nice size of my room and the cleanliness of it. I hated that the front doors were not working and, on one of the coldest nights ever, I had to walk half-way around the building to get in and back out. I was by myself and using a cane. Also the pool was too cold for my grandchildren to swim in. Bummer.

We paid little over $900 for four nights to staying in a one-bedroom suite. We stayed in much better hotel with similar price. The bedding wasn't clean, the sheet has stain on it. This hotel has an on-site restaurant, we purchased the breakfast when book the room, which it was $5/person. We had the first dinner at the restaurant and my child was served with a raw pizza. The service was terrible too. So, avoid that restaurant! If you want to visit New River Gorge National Park, check the availability of " Hawk Nest State Park Lodge", it's only 15mins away. Staying any places in Beckly is 30mins away to New River.
