Dawson Inn

If you are looking for somewhere to stay and you care even a little about yourself then please consider going somewhere else! This hotel is dirty, moldy, out of date in so many ways….if you have kids then this is definitely not the place. I had a bug under my pillow in one room and when moved to a different room the ac was broken and I slept with the window open in 89° weather! Please pay a little more for anywhere else, I promise you will be happier that you did.

The Dawson Inn met our need perfectly. As a family traveling from the midwest to the east coast, we were pleased to fine a comfortable, easily accessible, and pleasant place to spend a few hours to sleep and regroup. The staff was very pleasant at 1am! I recommend this hotel for an overnight when traveling!

This is a small family owned hotel I imagine. Well worth a stay. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The girls working the front desk also clean the rooms. They are all super sweet. The owner should hire more help though they are expected to do too much. Breakfast was really sparse. All grab and go choices.

Stayed in a suite which has two rooms with queen bed in each room. Very convenient for a family with teenagers. Breakfast was not great. Hotel is too far from the New River Gorge Bridge. Takes about an hour to drive there. Dining options are very limited in the area.

Wonderful quick stay at Dawson Inn. Seriously consider staying here if you have kids. $130 total and my husband and I had our own bed/TV, separated by a door,which was super helpful for my husband who is a night owl and for kids you need to get to bed at a decent hour. Such friendly staff and the room was very clean and quiet. Right off the interstate. No breakfast but they do have some coffee and snacks to tide everyone over. Will definitely stay again if our travels take us this direction!

Just a wonderful stay! Room sparkling clean and fresh, bedding comfy, AC worked perfectly, the Manager was friendly and even a bit of a comedian and I LOVED it! Check in was smooth and fast. I've stayed here before, but this Inn has been completely redone and Praise the Lord, the entry codes for your door really do work properly!!! Snacks available, as well as light continental breakfast. Location is quiet, I felt very safe as a single female traveler. Would recommend it for solo travelers, couples, and those with small families. Fireplace in lobby, with plenty of seating and just very relaxed and welcoming. SIMPLY WONDERFUL!!!! THANKS!
