Cowlitz River Lodge

Great location to MRNP whether you were going to Sunrise or Paradise area. Loved the evening elk and babies. So glad to have laundry available. Restaurants were all walkable. We did miss the complimentary breakfast that was advertised when we booked with Expedia. There was no breakfast.

I wasn't expecting the room to be so amazing! It had so much room for my family. I would stay here again and again.

Super big room which was great for our family of 5. It was so spacious and comfortable. Loved having 2 bathrooms. The property was very clean and laundry was right next to our room which was so convenient. The wifi and tv were really slow, but probably not the property's fault.

We had a family get together and needed to stay a couple of nights. The hotel was in the right place. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing was on the second day there was no service to the room so we had no towels or additional items. The room was way over priced i would of expected better service for the money we had to pay.

We had a great stay at Cowlitz River Lodge during our short time in Packwood! Very clean and convenient, as you could just walk right to everything in Packwood (it's a super small town!). Parking right in front of our door, and a laundry on-site helped out as well. The lobby was very cool, and our kids actually hung out there most of the evening after we arrived! If we're ever back in Packwood, this is certainly where we would stay!

It was a great lodge to stay at for visiting White Pass ski resort. Lobby was great with movies for kids, fireplace, and popcorn. They let us use the breakfast room to have friends come over and eat pizza. Really nice staff.

They haven't offered breakfast since September 2022, which was the previous time that I stayed there. I found out about the change when I stayed Februrary 2023. If you do a search for this hotel, you'll see "free breakfast" on Google and several booking websites. I am furious that the new owners covertly took away breakfast and continue to charge the same rates. I stay here 2 times a year on average. I'm an area native and I come back to visit family. Breakfast is why I have been loyal for all these years. Cowlitz River Lodge has lost my loyalty. Obviously they're into greedy business practices.

The family room is huge, clean, and private. Elk outside your door is a definite plus.

close to family and has something cool to look at critters .packwood is a great place hope it dose not grow to much .

Amazingly quiet and comfortable lodge with a great lobby, spacious rooms and super host. An added bonus were elk and baby in the backyard in the morning. Limited dining choices downtown but the basics are there as well as a great brewery restaurant and ice cream airstream.
