A wonderful place to be. The staff, Jo, Zee and Barbara are great, they treated us like family. They are truly an asset to the stay. Tour the winery, taste the wine, enjoy the peace and relax. They present a great experience. We will certainly return many times.

Wedmore Place is a wonderful experience. Every person on the staff was friendly, supportive, and excited about their service to us, and after 2 days we were treated as family, and they were genuine about helping us. The room, breakfast, grounds, and service were superior. We definitely have found a home base for our travels to Virginia.

First off, I believe this property was very nice when it was built in the early 2000’s. However, it is showing its age from what me and family experienced whilst staying here. We stayed for 3 nights in the Burgundy room and noticed many “quick fixes” in the room which made it feel like a cheap hotel. Also, the TV had to be from 2006 ish and was a “dumb” TV. I haven’t seen one in quite some time. Furthermore, the area where the room is located is very noisy due to it being right off the lobby on the second floor. In addition, the floors in the hallway were very creaky and we could hear when someone was walking in the hallway. Moving on, the pool area and cafe had the same maintenance “quick fixes” as the rest of the hotel. Overall the location is nice but the building needs some TLC to bring it up to standards of the rate they are charging. Lastly, the grounds were nice but I was disappointed that the tavern closed at 3pm on weekdays.

The trip is a family trip and then I was just so excited to find this property but the experience wasn’t that good we arrived little bit late night and it takes for a while until I get the room key once I got to the room the room is not ready. I reach over the one king bed, and one sofa bed, but only one king bed is made. So Throughout the night my husband has to sleep very cold I paid almost $300 dollars and i really looking forward to this trip so it was really disappointing

The Wedmore Place was a delightful, whimsical stay in the middle of a lovely vinyard. It reminded me of the small European hotels of my childhood. The friendly staff, from the front counter to the breakfast cafe to the maintenance man all added to the calm, kind country charm. We were grateful to stay in a place that was so unlike every other hotel in Williamsburg.

We were in town for a family visit and found the Wedmore to be perfect as a base to spend time together on the grounds and at the restaurant & wine tasting room. Our stay was three nights in the Tyrol, room 29, designated a standard room. The room was very spacious and we appreciated the comfortable bed, desk, and cold A/C. The view is to the wooded area on the second floor. The bathroom is quite narrow but well appointed with both a shower and separate tub area. The front desk staff was very helpful with a cooler and medications that needed refrigeration each evening since the room does not have a fridge/freezer. The included breakfast was ample and delicious, although more choices without bread would have been nice. We found out the last day that some sort of gluten free bread is available but we did not try it. Despite the per night price being a little higher than we normally spend, the value in the location, amenities, and atmosphere were well worth the price to us. Added bonus is that their locally grown and produced wine is some of the best we've ever enjoyed outside of Napa Valley.

This hotel was charming and unique. The location is secluded and the grounds around it well kept. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. The breakfast in the cafe was really good with fresh pastries and fruit. I would recommend staying here for couples but not a place for families. Overall a nice stay.

I enjoyed my stay at wedmore place. The property was nice and tucked away from everything amongst the vineyards the breakfast and service was amazing, one of the best I’ve had. Good coffee, warm quiches and pastries, fresh fruit. Also they served it 8-10a which is a lot better then the 530-8 at some places. I think one of the biggest things I can stress is to get a room on the second floor. You WILL hear the people above you, walking AND talking. We had a couple of kids above us during our stay. It wasn’t a huge deal for us but if you’re really looking for that quiet romantic getaway make sure it’s on the second floor. The rooms could use a little bit of updating. Paint peeling, replacing some old pieces. But overall, loved the uniqueness of the room and loved the huge tub it came with. I didn’t get a chance to use the wine tasting vouchers but they were available if that interests you. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again, on the second floor 😊

It was beautiful , inviting, and had old world charm. The service was great, the wine tasting fun, and the breakfasts were delicious. Great place for couples or families.

Great place, very quiet in the middle of a venyard. The Burgundy room is big enough for 4 people. The king bed was perfect but Out children slept on the convertible couch and it was not comfortable at all. No comforter either for them. So good for a couple but probably less good for a family with teenagers. The breakfast is very good (even if not a lot of choices, especially if you arrive a bit late). Overall, good stay.
