Fairfield Inn & Suites Richmond Midlothian

I cannot give an Excellent review this time for the following reason. What I did not like. 1) The room air was very stale. 2) Spider webs up in the ceiling corners near the window. 3) The "light bulb" in the cabinet over the portable coffee/tea pot not working. Notified the customer service desk and was informed a work order was placed...Result: No service render or a follow up on the room during our stay. Suggestion: Management of cleaning service department to perform "extra" room check, especially rooms that have not been use in a long while. My experience in the past has been awesome with Fairfield Inn. I would like to continue to make Fairfield Inn one of my family go to Hotel when we are in town. This time I could not give this Hotel a 5 star. Thank you, Expedia, for all that you do to provide customers the best service.

Traveled for a school event. Quiet place with plenty oslf space for kids to lounge

Stay was good however I was traveling with 2 kids. I’ve stayed at multiple places with more kids and apologized to neighboring people at other hotels because I’m know the kids get loud from time to time. HOWEVER they insisted they couldn’t hear anything. Here was not the case so someone ended up complaining about the noise. The staff member that came to tell us stood there looking at me as if I was supposed to freak out, fuss or say something more after I said thanks for letting us know. The kids were uncomfortable for the rest of the evening and so was I. Imagine how helpless I felt as we only stayed here for a dental surgery the next morning. Typically I would’ve checked out and left but instead the kids tiptoed and whispered for the remaining time there. Seems to be more business oriented, not for family as kids can get excited. They’re kids and super excited when we travel so I look for more family friendly places. This time was last minute so I didn’t check into the family oriented portion of the reviews. Whether the walls are thin or we were just beside a complaining negative Nancy we’ll go elsewhere next time. The negative Nancy next door to our room stuck her head out the door as we were leaving that morning so i figured she was the source of the complaint. Other than that, blonde hair was in the bathroom, bed was harder than I expected and remote/door knobs were filthy when we wiped the room down as we always do especially with kids.
