Hotel Weyanoke

I booked the king one bedroom suite. it wasnt availble at check in. I was put in a standard room until i spoke with staff and they gave me a junior suite. Not what I wanted but still ok. The person who checked me in initially dropped the ball. (or didnt care or whatever). she said the room would be comparable in size and was lying.

Of all the hotels that I have used in Farmville, this is by far my and my family’s favorite. It has a very beautiful atmosphere and the staff is very friendly, courteous, professional and accommodating. The Weyanoke has a history that is interesting. It’s a little pricey, but worth it. Staying here makes you feel important.

My family and I agree that this was the nicest hotel we have ever stayed. Finding this gem while traveling through Virginia was one of the highlights of our trip. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and spacious and I can’t say enough about the amazing bathroom. It was easy to access everything we needed and service was helpful. Walking across the street and around Longwood University was a treat and I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to stay near Richmond. The morning after my stay, I met an employee named Jwuan and he was very helpful with information and questions I had since we were traveling through the state for the first time. He helped me make a smart decision to not spend too much time in Richmond through his knowledge of the surrounding areas and I very much appreciate that. He was a kind individual and I wanted to make sure his employer knew I enjoyed his company and our conversation.

The place was clean, everyone was friendly. The check in process was confusing. I booked three rooms for family under my name. Once we arrived the family wan ted to put the rooms under their name and method of payment. I was told I could not because i reserved thru third party. So everyone payment had to go on my card I reserved with. Which I know was not true

One of the worst hotel stays we've ever had. The room was okay, the tv ended up not working and we had to call the front desk to get it fixed. While they were in the room they could hear the loud party going on next door, and in the hall, and said later that night (it was already after 9pm) that if they were still that loud to let them know. They didn't want to deal with the loud kids drinking next door, and never did anything about it. I then find out they double charged me for my room. I called 20 times before someone would finally answer the phone. John tried to inform me the $120 charge was for incidentals and would drop off. When I explained to him that I can see the incidental charge on my card, and this was a separate charge. He kept trying to convince me it was for incidentals and then proceeded to get really nasty and told me he'd have a manager call me. I heard nothing for two days. . .I repeat calling 20 times before anyone answers the phone. The nice gentlemen who answered the phone said that even though I paid for the room in advance months ahead of time that they were charging me for a night and to take it up with the 3rd party we booked the room with, and that he would also have "supervisor" call me. No one has ever called. So I paid twice for a room so I could listen to kids drinking and partying late at night. Think twice before you book this hotel. We will never stay there again, and would advise anyone else against it as well.

Amazingly restored with the finest attention to details in all areas!! Slept like a baby in the luxurious bed and didn’t want to get out of the shower!! The location is steps away from campus! Only wish there were glasses in the room/suite only 4 paper cups - but not a deal breaker!!
