Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charlottesville, an IHG Hotel

Absolutely delightful experience. Mary at check in was a joy. The room was spacious and comfortable the kids loved the pool and we all loved the breakfast!

Nice clean place with friendly staff, spacious rooms with the usual amenities. Breakfast selections were good quality with reasonable variety available. Sometimes things ran out and we to ask that it be refilled. We stayed here nearly a week with 3 rooms for our family. The large lounge was a pleasant place to gather with choices of seating and adequate space to have semi-private conversations. We were all on the third floor and had trouble getting hot water in our showers. When we complained and asked for repair, we were eventually told that the hot & cold label s were reversed on the single control handle. Then it seemed to work if one was careful. For a nice place like this, that should really get fixed or have a nice label/explanation card!! R

The front desk was amazing. Offered me more towels for our larger family before I even asked. Put us on the top floor. Room was lovely and clean and large. Wonderful breakfast - biscuits and gravy!

We had 4 rooms between family to attend a wedding. Rashad, the night attendant at front desk was so extremely helpful and went out of his to way to assist us with handling large group issues. Thank you Rashad...we appreciate you!!

Such a lovely woman checked us in at the front desk - I have never seen someone so enthusiastically welcoming and kind not over the top just genuine and very warm. She was helping another couple get whole milk for their baby and managing phone calls but did it all with ease and Grace and was equally nice to everyone - I wish I knew her name but she was fantastic I will not forget her. I complimentented get the next morning checking out and she said she would tell her she had reading glasses on her head and a nice north face jacket almost a coral pink color if anyone reading this that works for the hotel knows her tell her she’s great. The room was spotlessly clean which is my number one priority and she even told us they have that spotless clean guarantee if we were t satisfied to let her know and it was absolutely spotless. This hotel is somewhere I would stay again without hesitation- and I’m a germaphobe and clean picky - this was perfect everywhere and so clean. But… I really wish I knew the lady’s name that checked us in bc Holiday Inn need to clone her for check in desk all over the world she was such a nice surprise after a long drive to get that type of warm welcome energy that seemed like it really was her and not her doing a job - you can tell she really is that special and treats everyone that way because she is a wonderful human ! ( also for holiday inn staff to identify her she had red nails and the ring finger was painted sparkly gold) she is amazing.

Nice sized rooms and comfy beds. Some guests around us were loud [blasting music at 2 am, what sounded like stampeding kids at midnight].

The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was great for me but not for my husbands back . Was being picked up by family in the entrance . Expected that there would be a slopping edge at front door instead a high curb . Fell twisting my ankle and hitting my shoulder. There is a Kerig in the room which was great .2 coffee and 2 teas available. They were never refilled and had to ask at the front desk for refills . Our room hadn’t been cleaned and finally asked . The gentleman at the front desk gave me disdain saying that is not done anymore. The rest of the staff were fabulous

So nice and convenient especially if you have kids. The staff was incredibly nice.

New and clean room in a quiet location on the mountain. Good free breakfast. Front desk people are nice and helpful. My family loves the one night stay in this hotel on our vacation trip. Good choice!
