We checked in on a Wednesday. First thing I noticed was the door to our room wasn’t locked. Quickly threw our stuff down and headed out to hike. Came back once it got dark and realized our room had never been cleaned. The trash from previous guests was still in our trash cans, gobs of hair all over the shower and tub, glasses still sitting out on the bathroom sink. So I tried to be reasonable and I called the front desk and asked if our room could be cleaned the next day since it was bedtime by now. They told me yes. So the next day I head out to hike and I come back around 11AM and my room still hasn’t been cleaned. I called again and asked for it to be done and they assured me they were sending someone up right away. We go to dinner that afternoon and come home and AGAIN it had not been cleaned!!!! Management was completely dismissive towards me and only offered me complementary breakfast from their restaurant. Wow, what a gift considering I just paid almost $300/night for a dirty hotel room that I gave them THREE chances to make right!! The ONLY perk of this place is it’s the only hotel in the park. They’ve got a bunch of kids running the place who don’t care about customer service. Avoid this place as much as you can!

Historic Lodge in beautiful setting, convenience of staying inside the park, able to easily do late afternoon hikes, watch the sunrise. Do not expect amazing dining and amenities, this is a different and worthwhile experience. Loved watching kids and families gather in the space in front of the lodge.

We totally lucked out getting a 1-night stay at this amazing resort, because by the time we got to Zion National Park, they'd already closed it to additional visitors due to the Memorial Day rush of people. We got in because we had already a reservation at the lodge! The lodge is an old-world cabin-style set of buildings with rooms and suites - very nicely furnished with most of the amenities one needs. No internet in the room tho' - but who needs that when you visit such a place?! The internet in the registration area was also weak - but early morning, sufficient for me to get online to book our next night's stay :) We got a rollaway bed for our newly graduate daughter - which they provided at a nominal charge ($12). The staff is VERY friendly and the restaurant is perfect for breakfast/ lunch/ dinner if you don't want to drive our to Springfield - which is a short drive away. The lodge has a beautiful "village green" style grassy center - with a HUGE and beautiful tree in the middle. One can just hang out there all day - and night - and watch little kids, grown-ups and the sundry deer enjoy that place. It is simply marvellous.
