Staybridge Suites Plano - The Colony, an IHG Hotel

We enjoyed our visit to this location bring close to our family. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast! Sad the pool was closed though.

My family and I are well traveled and the lack of customer service , hospitality was concerning. Our room was less than thoroughly cleaned and missing items that should have been available in our rooms and or at the front desk? My teenagers had a few unexpected encounters with the staff which was upsetting . Complementary breakfast and cocktail hour was good idea but was underwhelming and needs to be revamped. The one woman that worked in the morning at front desk was nice and explained the rewards program to my husband . Wish you nothing but the best may your company grow stronger and strive for greatness! Thank you kindly

Very nice and homie. They had enough sleeping space and pillows to accommodate my whole family. Breakfast was great too! They had a lot of healthy options.

The hotel was nice and somewhat comfortable but the employees were not. There was never anyone at the front desk. My family stayed 3 nights and housekeeping did not clean our room and they did not restock anything. I had to go to the front desk twice to ask for towels, toilet paper and tissues. That is not acceptable for the price paid.

We will not return to this hotel. The front desk staff was great, but the breakfast was crap and people serving were rude. They ignored request from guest for items, or were rude in their responses. Day two they ran out of big coffee cups, and day three they ran out of paper plates. They sat out big black plastic bowls instead of just getting more plates. The bacon was so undercooked that my two year old choked trying to swallow it. It was a couple minutes after breakfast ended, and I walked over to grab a bowl (I wasn’t trying to get more food, it was for what we already had), the male staff member turned the lights out on me. Mind you, they were in the process of feeding their own kids the leftover breakfast. It wasn’t that serious! On our first night the room had a unpleasant smell like catfish. When we laid down, we realized it was the fitted sheet. We called the front desk and were brought clean sheets. The guy was nice and apologetic.

Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. Only complaint was family above us who were not controlling their children. I did inform the front desk and they took care of it so we could sleep.

The pool was a perfect size for my two little ones, however if it was a big crowd we probably would have left. Unfortunately they were a bit short staffed. The breakfast our first morning never had eggs they ran out and I was there a good 30-40 min and they never got more. Breakfast the 2nd morning was better, the pancake batter ran out but it was quickly replaced and there were eggs. Our room faced the pool/basketball court area and there were people being loud past hours so I would request to not face those areas
