Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Rockport, an IHG Hotel

I was told that there were no more towels and that I would have to wait a long time for them. The person that checked me in was nice and the lady that made breakfast was nice. The people at reception were rude. When I asked for additional towels for my family of six, I was told at the front desk, “did you not get them yesterday?” Am I not allowed to take a shower daily? It was like pulling teeth to get service. I’ve stayed here multiple yrs in a row and the service is always terrible. They only make money because of the view of the ocean. If the ocean view doesn’t matter to you, don’t stay there

It was a nice clean hotel. They were not too friendly when we requested fresh towels and a little housekeeping just to help with towels and trash that adds up with 4 people including a baby.

Room was clean and updated. One staff member at the front desk was VERY RUDE! My smoke alarm was going off 2 mornings in a row at 7am, which scared my toddlers. When I asked if it could be fixed quickly so we could return to our room she replied no one could help until 9:30. She rolled her eyes and spoke harshly when I asked if we could switch rooms. We ended up taking down the screaming alarm ourselves until the battery could be changed. 2nd day it happened again and the hotel just removed the alarm. I feel like we should’ve received an apology, upgrade in room or room compensation for at least 1 day. It was a huge mess. Won’t stay there again, but loved the beach and the small town. Will return to Rockport!

For one night I don’t expect perfection. I do want my sleep though! I was woken up several times, with upper room shouting and possibly jumping on beds the thumps on floor woke me up with fear. This is not the fault of the hotel. I do expect house rules, to notify people with children or party people that 10pm is quiet time just like pool hours.

Property was clean. Not a very large parking lot. Liked that there was breakfast provided 👍 Whenever people/kids let the room doors shut it’s quite loud and scares the crap out of you if you’re already in bed! Sometimes had to hunt for front door help but I’d stay there again.

The hotel is near the beach which is why I chose it. Upon check-in, the hotel staff was more focused on their conversation than checking in the guests. The room was clean. The shower had very little water pressure. Our neighbors played music incredibly loud and you could hear anytime someone left their room because the doors slam so loudly. The breakfast was “ok”. Cafeteria grade eggs and bacon. No cream cheese for bagels. The pool was freezing cold so maybe they had just filled it but the ocean water was much warmer than the pool. Not a big deal to myself since we were there for the beach but my kiddo was disappointed because she couldn’t swim when we got back to the hotel. I’d stay for again for the convenient location but that’s it.

Called ahead for early check-in. Arrived in the parking lot and saw a run down motel next door with people from that motel spilling over into this parking lot. They told us it would be ready at 1pm so arrived at 1pm. It took 5-10 min for someone to show at the front desk then 15 more min to determine if our room was ready. Walked up to room and the a/c in halls was off - it was humid and paint peeling off the door frames. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner. Room a/c worked great. Lots of activity in the hallways after 11pm - kids racing back and forth. Will definitely try another place to stay next visit, as we are weren’t super impressed.

Great place for a family vacation

This hotel is just average. They serve breakfast until 9, went at 8 with the kids and everything was gone. No staff around. Room was not very clean.

When I arrived after 8 pm and given my keys I was looking forward to getting a quick shower after a long day at the beach and going out to dinner with my family, the room was unmade the phone did not work, the attendant took over 30 min to get us another room, that room only had 2 towels, no phone, no hair dryer, no sheets or any bedding for the pull out couch. I went down to the desk where i waited 20 minutes for the attendant to appear and even longer before I was given the bedding for the pull out and was told there were only sheets and no comforter and he hoped it was ok, I said "no my grandson needs a warm cover" we ended up using up all our time so we missed getting dinner as all restaurants in the area were already closed, and I couldn't blowdry my waist length hair after just washing it, no discount or coupons were offered, we were very disappointed. No customer service to contact immediately to even change accomodations.
